Description
Schwalbe Champions The Gravel Game Again
Introducing the Schwalbe G-One R 700c Gravel Tire, a crown jewel of Schwalbe's gravel tire lineup.
The G-One is built on Schwalbe's Super Race carcass, which offers their most supple, smooth ride — a crucial tire feature for long gravel rides.
Schwalbe's G-One R bicycle tires also boast low rolling resistance and high puncture protection with their V-Guard puncture resistance layer and ADDIX Race rubber compound for speed and control over all surfaces.
On pavement, the G-One R performs like the G-One Allrounds — fast-rolling, with lower resistance than other gravel tires in its class. You also won't be fighting vibrations from the tire's lugs slapping against the pavement.
The G-One R proves to be an excellent race tire due to its center tread, which lets you zoom over hardpack, pavement, and even loose-over-hard conditions.
Suffice it to say, these bad-boys are ready for singletrack, gravel, tarmac, and everything in-between.

Reviews
I recently put this on the rear, matched with a 2.1 Thunder Burt front, on my Canyon Grail. The 45 was about the limit in back, although possibly could manage a 47. This combination really transformed the bike. So much more confidence on gnarly jeep roads and single track and still very fast on pavement.
Had been running Vittoria Terreno Dry 45s. I raced STB GRV Black course this year with them (2nd place 70+) and while they might have been suitable for the previous years course, the sucked on this years! Im sure the Schwalbe combo would have knocked at least an hour off my time!
Got these to replace a set of Schwalbe G1s that performed well. But then the sidewall on this set blew out 3 miles into a race when I had put all of 230 miles into them. Never again Schwalbe, never again.
I gave the tire 4/5 as the tire is totally fine. I purchase the 45 version and I found it very sluggish on the gravel roads of north Mississippi. Compared to my old Panracer SS, they were definitely slower. This particular combo of 45mm width I think are better served on some place chunkier.
After putting a few hundred miles on these tires,
I like them. They seem to roll well and they are smooth. Looking forward to riding them more on a variety of surfaces. They definitely make for a comfortable ride on the rough stuff and have excellent traction.
i use these tires on my gravel bike, though i've probaby ridden them more on tarmac than gravel. they are grippy on all surfaces! the rear tire ended up wearing out probably twice as fast as the front. i'm running them tubeless so decided to replace both tires.
