Description
Less Is More.
Zipp enters the tubeless game with their ZIpp 30 Course Disc Clincher for a wheelset that lets you run lower pressures without the risk of pinch flatting. Taking inspiration from their 202 Firecrest carbon clinchers, the Zipp 30 rims feature a wide 21 mm width to further increase traction and improving ride quality, while also adding more stability when riding at low pressures. The versatile 77/177D hubset is the same found in their 202 and 303 Firecrest Disc-brake models, so they're durable and thru-axle compatible with the included end caps.

Reviews
I've had these wheels for over a year now and couldn't be more pleased. I'm running them tubeless with Bontrager GR2 Team Issue 40c tires and they hold pressure with no leaks and I've had zero pinch flats. The rear hub design is easy to service without special tools. They've stayed true since day one despite taking a beating on rough gravel and singletrack. The freehub is also very quiet, Lightweight, spin up fast and roll easy. Great value, highly recommend.
Bought these to improve my gravel bike's ride. They look great and are very solid. I weighed them and they were within a few grams of advertisement. Mounted some 28's to start, and rode streets and several group rides. Eventually plan to swap a gravel type tire.
the first thing you notice when you ride these wheels is how smooth they feel. going up a slight incline is almost like riding the flats. after a descent they just keep spinning. just finished a big charity ride and sometimes I would get dropped by a group on the steeper climbs. no problem. on the next descent I caught them and blew past them ! if you don't think good wheels can make you faster buy these and find out.
Not the lightest wheels you can get at this price. Not the cheapest you can get a wheelset of this weight. However, the Zipp 30 Course is arguably one of the highest quality and best values. The wheels rim width offers versatility for a wide range of tires for road, cross, and gravel. The 30mm rim depth offers some aero benefit while limiting the effect of cross winds. They're well designed, built, and strong (compare the max PSI and rider weight limit) and per the specs are even a bit lighter than the Zipp 302 Carbon wheels.
I've ridden these wheels on road and gravel. They roll well and seem to be best suited for wider, tubeless tires (I am using 30mm Schwalbe's). Mounting is easy relative to other tubeless rims.
I have been riding these for two seasons on my Trek Boone. The wheels are super solid and relatively fast, although not as fast as my wife's carbon 303s. I have ridden them with many different tire sizes. My default road tire is a Conti 28 but have tried 25s and they are fine. Many gravel rides using Conti 35s. Cross races on knobby 32s. Have stayed true for the roughly 4,000 miles I have on them. Many rough and gravel roads and no issues. I have not gone tubeless with these wheels because I change tires frequently depending on ride. They easily do a group road ride weekday nights and with tire change are ready for dirt or gravel roads or cross on Sat. When changing tires it helps to really squeeze the far side bead into the center of the wheel when seating the near side bead as it can be tight getting that last few inches over the rim. Also, be sure your spare tubes have a long enough stem.
