Description
Same great Nano tread in a 700c x 40mm package and wire bead.
Featuring WTB's Nano tread, the Nano Comp 700c Tire brings the tread pattern that has become a favorite of cross country MTB racers to the gravel/adventure market at a very attractive price. These tires use the grippy DNA rubber found in WTB's high end tires, but with a 27 TPI casing and wire bead they are able to make it much more affordable. Very resistant to punctures, quick rolling on flat surfaces, and with great traction over loose terrain, this tire is the choice for adventure riding on a budget.
The WTB Nano Comp 700c Tire is available in 700c x 40mm. Wire bead. 550 grams (claimed). 27 TPI.

Reviews
I wanted a tire for fall through early spring - more bite than my preferred summer low resistance tire. The Nano tread pattern and material provides much more confidence on trails with leaves, sand, and in the damp (I mostly a fair weather rider). I like the center rib because of the way it rides on the pavement.
I would give 5-stars but I notice more tire noise when going above 20 mph on pavement.
I put these on my Dual Sport Bike because I wanted to hit the single track without using my Schwalbe Marathons. These have plenty of grip and decent cushioning for a 40c tire. I ran them at both ends of the psi range and found a nice zone for pavement and dirt. I only have a couple hundred miles on them so for longevity we shall see, but I ran them pretty hard on roots some mud, gravely surfaces and fire roads without any issues. Decent tire on the road as well not a slug. They are easy on and off and do what I need them too. Went thru sand well too! A good option for muti use.
