Reviews
I purchased the Corsa Pro TR to replace a set of Continental 5000s. I had read a lot of positive reviews of this tire and I have had great luck with the Vittoria gravel tires. My story starts with mounting them in May along with the Vittoria liners, using Stans sealant. A week into use I noticed I had run into something as there was some sealant visible - but that happens and that is what sealant is for. Having run tubeless for a couple of years now on my road bike, this instance was not unusual and didnt concern me.
A few weeks later I was prepping my equipment for a cross -state bike ride so I topped of the sealant and prepared for the ride. Day 1 I hit something and and noted a pretty big spout of sealant. Again - as it sealed I wasnt concerned. The next day, rinse and repeat - yet more punctures.
By day 3 there were more experiences of the same nature so that evening I removed the Vittoria and put the Conti I had packed on instead. I then road 5 more days without a problem.
I had another new Vittoria with me (I am always prepare with multiple tires on a long trip) and loaned it to a friend of mine toward the end of the ride. He set it up with a tube but within an hour or riding he punctured. So - whether tubeless or tube, or whether it was on my bike or a friends, we both had consistent bad luck with these tires. Apparently the new rubber compound is not as advertised and the durability is consequently fairly poor. I am not a Conti fan but will for sure not use these tires again either.
These tires have had lots of reviews. Yes they are great! Like any tire, if its gets too beat up it has to be changed before its time. I had to replace 1 due to too much glass. These tires are tough, roll great and easy to mount. I suggest that they are mounted / seated and then apply the sealant and re-air up. You will be good to go for a few thousand miles. Likely need to bring them to your air pressure every other day. I had a question for BTD about the tire not holding air overnight. This was with NO sealant. Customer service suggested I install the sealant and wait and see. 100% problem solved! Talk to pros @ BTD for any help.
Comfort, grip, and speed in one package. Really outstanding tires.
Easy to mount and set up tubeless. Did a complete tubeless install of both tires in under 15 minutes.
Durability is the only place you sacrifice. I see the center of the tread get thin on the rear after about 2k miles. If you're OK with that at the price, I don't think there are many better tires out there.
I'm a past user of Vittoria Corsa Control tires. I always liked the ride feel and grip however tubeless sealant would bubble through the sidewall carcass until enough sealant created a skin inside the tire. As I understand it, the new Corsa family of tires are made using a new manufacturing process. There's no bubbling with these new versions. I ordered the 30mm which measure 31mm/30.5mm on my Reserve wheels with 23/22mm internal width. The ride feel is plush and cornering is confident inspiring. I run them tubeless at 60/62 PSI and am still experimenting with pressure. The old version wore down fairly fast - rear tire < 1.5K miles so the jury's still out on the ware of these.
Tires grip well, Corner well even with some residual sand in the road most of all you get your moneys worth with these tires you ride over stuff that makes you grimace and look down to see tire sealant but no tires just seem to be just about bulletproof
Live here in Albq NM and we've goatheads that blow all over the trails. While these tires are handsome...,love the cream sidewalls...they are too puncture prone for this environment.
Raced a 34 version of this tire in some long but light gravel races. It's so nice. Rolls so nice. Feels great through sand and light gravel. And just rock solid on crappy pavement. I look forward to riding this tire.
I've been on the road tubeless bandwagon since around 2015-2016 which I would consider early adopter. From installation to ride quality and overall performance, the new Vittoria Corsa Pro and Pro Control are the best tires I've ever used. I have about 1K miles on these and about the same or maybe 1500 on my other bike with the non-controls. Just outstanding. Formerly a Schwalbe fanboy (still great tires, but these are a step above IMO).
Setup was easy, just needed a lever to pop the last bit over the rim, and easy to dislodge the bead for adding tubeless sealant. They seem to lose quite a lot of air (compared to my previous tires) but for a weekend bike it makes little difference to me. 34c measure 35mm on my 25mm internal rims.
Excellent tires that meet their price point.
Great ride feel, great puncture resistance (so far at 1000 miles), excellent cornering, does well wet and dry, good durability.
I went from running tubes for over 40 years to tubless! It was an easy step and I have put on more than 500 miles. Not a problem to install sealant and seal the tires. They ride smoother and less hassel than the tube setup.
