Vittoria Air-Liner Gravel Tubeless Tire Insert

The insert is a cost effective tool that gives a little peace of mind that an unexpected puncture on my tubeless tire isn't going to result in damaging my rim. I've installed them for my CX wheelsets, so that I can run even lower pressures, provide additional tire support, and limit the chances of burping a tire on fast corners. Set them up and then forget about them.

Bought these after running Cushcore gravel for a year. And overall I am impressed. They are a trade-off, they are much lighter but offer less protection. They are also cheaper and less durable. Overall I would recommend either product, it really depends your terrain and how much protection you want. It also comes with a nice valve core.

Even through I like them it is pretty much highway robbery to charge $xx for a piece of foam that they make you create a loop out of with a zip tie. Really Vittoria? You can't just make a closed 700c and 650b version?

It takes some trial and error to get the sizing right. Just ensure the insert is tight on the rim bed. THe good thing, if you cut it long, you can cut it again and use any zip tie to secure it together.

It seats OK. Just follow instruction and make sure everything is wet

If you are riding a 35mm tire or smaller, it is good, otherwise, for larger tire, I would go with the CushCore insert

Rode the last race of the G3 in Guthrie,OK. I was one of the last riders out there. My phone died, so recovery was not an option, and I had already flatted once. GPS battery gone. So when I finally rode in, I thought to myself I was lucky and should ensure I was able get get back without any CO2s (should all that fail�spare tubilito and all)! When you are out there.. you�re out there!

I ride among keawe thorns which are horrible. So far so good. Less fearful of long gravel tides ending in a call to an ad-hoc SAG wagon.

I've switched my road and gravel bike to tubeless and am running the airliners on both. haven't had a blowout yet (knock on wood) where the sealant didn't work, but when that happens I'm hoping the airliners will allow me to get back to a place where I can take care of the situation properly

Unfortunately, I can't review them in real world use as they were an absolute bear to get set up, and ultimately disabled my ability to get the tire seated, then the liner tore. This product seems great in theory, but damn was it impossible to get these to fit. I followed the included instructions to the T. I'm running DT Swiss 1501 XC wheels and specialized pathfinder pro 42mm tubeless tires. I'm sure there is someone out there capable of getting these things to work, and seat the tires properly without these things tearing, but I'm not that person unfortunately. I'd originally ordered these in April to try and get them on before SBT GRVL this summer (august) but they kept getting back ordered, and finally showed up in October. The injury to insult for me is that they are now unusable, even if I could get the tires on due to them tearing. Surely there is a better way than a zip tie through light foam to get these things fixed into the wheel, but alas, that is how they're sent. Very unhappy with the purchase, and would not suggest to any of my buddies. YMMV
