Description
Shimano's SH-RC9 S-Phyre Wide Road Shoe is their top road offering, meeting the performance demands of professional riders at the highest level while accommodating a broader range of foot profiles. It's one-piece synthetic leather upper uses Shimano Surround wrap technology combined with perforated dimples for a glove-like fit that's free of pressure points. It's secured with two BOA IP1 dials for finely tunable tension that can be easily adjusted on the fly.
Bonding the upper to the ultra-rigid carbon sole, Shimano developed a technique that eliminates the traditional lasting board between the footbed and outsole for a lower stack height, improved stability, and increased power transfer. Quick-dry 3D mesh and Silvadur™ antimicrobial insoles ensure lasting freshness.
Claimed weight: 232g (size 42). Compatible with standard 3-bolt road cleats. Available in multiple colors.

Reviews
Nice light shoe, boas work great. Caveat I have flat feet, and corn on my right small toe. I have trimmed supplied foot bed to help with my foot issues. Nice that 2 different size arch supports are included. Carbon sole is stiff, great for power transfer. Downside stiff sole also can create hot spots. Man made upper after 2 months has not conformed to foot. I need be selective in my socks as thickness can make for an uncomfortable fit. The sale price made it a good bargain.
Got the Shimano wide size 46. I normally were a size 46.5 Sidi. Fantastic shoe that fit my feet like a slipper. The Boa dials are much better and easier to adjust on the fly than the Sidi.
The upper gets scuffed pretty quickly, and so does the outsole, but I guess that's normal. The shoe itself is incredibly lightweight, comfortable, and stiff. I used this with SPD cleats via an adapter, and it's pretty solid.
