Reviews
I like the thought Muc-Off peeps put into the design of their bottle nozzle and the flexi tube that comes with it. It fits and works beautifully when topping off or installing new -- with nary a drop of spillage. For that reason alone, I wanted to love this stuff, because simple as that attribute may be, it's superior to at least two competing sealants I've used.
That aside, the performance of the sealant is just average, at best. In the time I've been using it, I've suffered three punctures and it saved me from road side drama in only ONE of these instances. In the other two, it succeeded only in spraying my bike and spine with a nice coat of sealant until I was completely flatted out.
I still like it enough to use on my front tire, which is less of a hassle to deal with even when the worst happens. For the rear, for now, I'm going with Orange Seal regular.
I have been using Muc-Off sealant for awhile and have had nothing but good results. Just pulled a nail from my tire and added a little air and the sealant totally eliminated the leak. Im thinking that some of these bad reviews might be do to variations in the batchs of sealants. My last bottle was very thick verses the previous. I prefer this to other brand so far. Also easy to clean with water.
Just dont buy this stuff. It. Never. Seals. No matter how much you put in your tires, youll constantly lose air. Like 15psi over the course of a two hour ride. And when you are already running lower pressures, that doesnt give you much wiggle room. If you buy this, also buy the giant pack of CO2 canisters. Youll need them.
Skip the pink and buy the orange.
I'm only 3 rides into using the Mic-Off No Hassle Tubeless Sealant and it has been anything but no hassle. I've had 2 small punctures that were less than 2mm that wouldn't seal and nearly left me stranded. 4 CO2s got me home, but I expected more considering all the claims. Not as good as Stans or Orange Seal.
I used to be of the opinion that all sealant was more or less the same; liquid latex with some particulate. And they all roughly worked the same. Until I tried this.
Calling it sealant is generous as it has yet to seal anything. My tires are constantly leaking air through tiny holes that stans/orange/caffelatex would have sealed instantly. It seems especially bad in the wet. Completely worthless.
