Reviews
I bought the neon blue sidewall Michelin tires. They help make my matte black bike visible. My bike is a lightweight fixxie turned single speed.
These Michelins are quite light and have low roll resistance, set at 100 psi. I have ridden about 100 miles with no issues. I ride the Iron Horse Trail in the SF East Bay. It is a flat, asphalt trail with few hills.
One note: The tubes that were on the previous bike were too big to fit into the tires even though the tubes were rated for the tire size (25 mm). Had to buy new tubes. (It could have been the old tubes were rated for larger tires even though they fit in my old, cheap 23 mm tires).
I needed new tires and the brand the bike had were no longer available. The Michelin Protek Max were the best match I could find. They worked out perfect, I could not be happier. They are very quiet and run very true.
I got them a lot quicker than promised, and because I was a new customer I got an additional discount.
Great service.
I got these to convert a 90's mtb for road use. Definitely more suited for urban/commuting duty. Smooth rolling, with hi-vis reflective sidewalls. BUT HEAVY. And a little hard to seat on my rims. They seem like they'd be great on a hybrid bike or even an e-bike. Just not for me. Ended up going with some Continental Ride Tours instead and I am much happier.
