Great tube, with better puncture resistance

It's a tube, right? But I'm glad to have a slightly stronger, slightly heavier tube. The very minor extra weight is worth reducing the chances of having to stop and pull a wheel/tire on the roadside.

They have a hole by the time you install the.

These were on sale, so I bought 5 of them. I install the first one, and during the ride it goes soft. I pump it up enough to get home and check. Yup, a hole. Not on the rolling side, but on the inside. I have tubless compatible rims (but not tires) so there are no spoke stems to get caught on... smooth seam only. So I install another one, and the same thing... a hole on the inside but not at the same location on the rim, ruling out some rim problem. Just so you know, I never use any tool to install the tires... just use my hands. I'm 60 years old, and have changed tires since a teenager, and this NEVER happens. I know all the tricks to make sure that the tube doesn't have a hole in it before it's ever ridden on. But this happened twice in a row... both on the inside and both near the seam, though one was not on the seam. Still, I have no faith in these. I pumped up a 3rd to water test, and it did not have a hole in it pre-install, and I installed it and rode with it without issue. But overall, I've never had tubes that were so easy to put a hole in them on the rim side. The only time that has ever happened in my life is when I had spoke stems that were not sufficiently protected by rim tape... but that is not possible on my rims. These are not worth buying, in my humble opinion, unless you want to ride with constant fear that you have a slow leak and will pinch flat on the next imperfection in the asphalt. Even if given for free, I wouldn't use them as I have no trust in them. I have to install them and wait 4 hours to see if they still hold air. Ugh. I opened 3 and have already thrown out one. Returning 2 of the remaining 5 to get a few dollars back is not worth the trouble. But Maxxis should take these off the market and save cyclists a lot of headaches.

Always good to have a spare.

It's pretty hard to say much about this tube. I needed a spare tube and this one was priced right. I haven't used it and am in no rush to use it because that would mean I had a flat.
