Description

The Fastest SES Tire Ever Made — And One Of The Outright Fastest There Is

The ENVE SES Race Day Road Tire is what the name implies — a tire developed for the days when you pin on a number and every second counts.

With up to an 8.5 watt improvement in rolling resistance, and up to 75 grams of weight savings per tire over the standard SES, the Race Day is the step up you need. Featuring a nano-technology enhanced rubber compound, novel casing construction, and their aerodynamically optimized SES tread pattern and shape, these tires deliver.

As a pure performance tire, the SES Race Day prioritizes speed over puncture resistance and longevity. The SES Race Day is tubeless ready and compatible with all hooked and hookless ENVE rim models.

Crazy light and fast

Kind of tough to mount, not as bad as Challenge tires though.

I did get a puncture on the rear on my 2nd ride that plugged and sealed immediately without issue. After that I was a little paranoid but I continued to ride the tire without issue for about 1500 mi. Even went on some light gravel and some terrible roads without any problems.

After almost 1000mi on them I am actually quite impressed with how they are holding up considering how light/supple they are.

These are definitely a race-day tire. not an every-day fast tire to run imo. Satisfied for what they are and will save them for those special times as needed.

Received tyre in a timely fashion

Tyres are light weight and fast. Good punch resistance as good as gp5000. Very happy with the tyres

An Everest to mount

The ENVE SES Race Day Road Tire is light fast and impossible to mount on my Zipp 303 FC and Zipp 357 NSW tubeless wheels. I tried for 2 hours! Not sure if it is the 29 mm on a 25 mm inner rim with or the flimsiness of the tire bead not making good initial seal. I use it now with tubes on my old Zipp 404s. Great tire, just not tubeless.

Very puncture prone even for a race day tire

I switched to this tire from the Conti GP5K TT TR tires and I put 2000 miles on those without a single flat.

With this tire on my 2nd ride using them, I had both tires blow out in the middle of a descent and then I could not get the punctures to seal despite having plenty of sealant so I had to retire these very expensive tires after using them for less than a week.
