I've tried 7-8 different saddles before ending up on the SR Allroad and am glad I gave it a try! Ergon has me between sizes with an 11.9 sitbone width and I chose to go S/M and think that was the right choice since I've never felt more comfortable on a ride. There have been no pressure points or sit bone pain in the 300 miles I've had the saddle for. Only time will tell if this is a durable saddle or not since it has a foam core that is my only worry with it so far.
I've tried 6 saddles since January and think I finally found the one for me! I went with the S/M with a sitbone width of 11.8 and think that was the right move. I experienced no discomfort on two 80 mile rides when I usually started fidgeting on the saddle after the 30 mile mark hunting for comfort.
The foam core soaks up a lot of chatter on top of contributing to comfort over long distances. My only hesitation with it is how long it will survive with weather and wear.
Overall, this is a well made saddle with a pretty substantial padding layer. I came across this saddle based on my criteria of a 135ish width without a hole to use on a gravel bike. The padding comfort is top notch and the width was perfect for me, but unfortunately the edges are pretty square and on long rides I noticed pain on my inner thighs. I have found this saddle to be perfect for a cx race with the thicker padding and shorter ride time, though.
I have an adventure bike that has a lot to like but a rather stiff ride. I had read that this saddle can soften the overall ride, so I gave it a try. And it does! Have to say Im amazed at how much road chatter it took out. And its not like riding a pillow, it feels like a bike saddle. The shape works for me as well. It replaced a Brooks B-17 that was just not working for me. It has really made a positive difference for this bike. Of course saddles are different for everyone but this is my experience.
