OK, this was probably a vanity replacement - got a Zipp stem in Beyond Black and wanted matching bars, so I replaced my Easton EA70 ergo bars with the Zipp SL-88s. A little lighter, a little bit longer reach and drop, which I wanted because I got a new frame with a taller head tube. But I miss the ergo bend - hand placement is a little bit uncomfortable in the drops with fingers on the brake levers. But these look good, both the matching gloss black at the stem and the classic curve.

A well made handlebar that allows riders an easy transition between having your hands on the drops, the levers, and up near the stem. The slight flare lets you go to and from the drops quickly and safely. You can wedge your forearms against the upper curve of the bars when your hands are in the drops for extra control when out of the saddle. I find this bar offers me superior control for improved bike handling. I replaced the stock handlebars with these on both my bikes. The most important of my many upgrades.

A fine handlebar with a good shape. In the drops you have a comfortable reach to the brake levers, unlike my old bars, which made my hands fatigue on descents. These are a good option for riders who want a little more reach than most shallow drop bars available. You have to pay a premium for that Z though.
