These are hands down the nicest tires I've used. Cornering is superb and the ride is just so unbelievably smooth that I never want to use anything else. One flat (a nasty piece of glass) in 250 miles so far doesn't seem too bad in terms of puncture resistance.

Have not put 200 miles on them yet, but.. They felt so light I'm worried about life span, I've been riding Conti 4000's & all seasons, Gatorskin's, Pro 3's, and Armadillos. Armadillos are only ones living full lives, Conti's are getting cut sidewalls, if these live 1000 miles I'll come out ahead. Even at 120 psi I always think I'm low on air. They feel fast, by far most comfortable tire I've ridden.

These are my first high end tires (Veloflex Master 20), I had a pair of Continental Ultra Sports 23 as the OEM on my Fuji, and then switched out to the lighter and higher tpi Kenda Kadence 25. I stick to the classic Boulder rides and do them often enough that I feel like I can distinguish between training improvements and my continual gear improvement quest. My Old Stage to Jamestown ride showed an impressive increase from 14 mph average to 17 mph average, I continued up to Bar-K and then descended back down to another Old Stage climb and the descent was flippin' fantastic! I don't think I've ever had my bike over that far in corners, these tires inspire supreme confidence even with some of decreasing radius to switchback turns up there, can't wait to race these this season (first season for me)!
Get a few friends together and buy a few sets to lock in the volume price, if you can get 6 when they are 10% off (on sale) they are just a few bucks more than the Kalientes everyone raves about. (Only had a few rides on the Masters but through a few patches of glass and short gravel section to say they are cut and flat resistant).

Pro. Having ridden over Old McKenzie hwy from the west to Sisters and back three times this year on these tires I can say they are very much like a fine tubular. Hold corners exceptionally well partly because they are very smooth, round and supple. Tread holds the road well. Handmade tires are definitely a better tire.
Con. They are advertised on the box as 180 grams but none of the six I got were below 195 grams. Why not label them as 200 grams and be honest?

Veloflex Masters are the best tires I've used in over 10,000 non-racing miles. Weight was my initial consideration when I started using this tire, but much to my surprise, the durability and glat-resistance was at par with some of the best training tires out there. As we all know, weight at the rims of wheels is the most noticeable factor in perceived pedaling effort. Although the overall weight of the bike remains the same, the extremely light weight of this tire will make you last longer, making this tire the ideal choice for those long, endurance tours and rides.

I purchased a couple of sets of Veloflex Master and they perform very well (ie. cornering, rolling resistance, etc). The only problem is that BikeTiresDirect only has yellow on stock for the past couple of months ,-( otherwise I would purchase more sets from them as they're a great online seller.

I was getting about 2 flats a week from goat heads with my old tires but ive been riding with these for about a month now and have only had one flat when i ran over a sticker bush. they are light, tough, and fast. best tires ive ever had

These tires ride like butter. Fast, grippy and very comfortable. So far they seem to be holding up well, too.

I rode conti's for quite sometime and heard great things about this tire. Got it on a deal of the day and are super happy with them. They seem to roll and roll and roll! Super comfortable. So comfortable that when I ride my other bike with 23mm continental's I have to double check if the tire is low on air or have a flat. Great tire in my opinion! You won't be disappointed. Oh and they also look spectacular on my black inc with gold lettering. Almost a perfect match in color.

Uncontested ride quality with unparalleled handling. Extremely supple, while remaining incredibly responsive, these clinchers are not only a pleasure to look at but also a pleasure to ride. However, this does come at a price they lack the resistance to punctures that you'll find in Gatorskins. A trade off that is worth it in my opinion.

I absolutely love the way this tire rolls. So smooth in and out of corners. I have more confidence in high speed descending than any other. With a cotton spun tire the life span will be less but I was very pleased to get 1600 miles out of a set.

I love Veloflex tires, they ride great, handle great and look good doing it.

By far the fastest tire I've ever used. If your rim can handle it, pumping up to 8 or 9 bars makes snapping through corners a breeze. Supple softer sidewall makes for a smoother ride than most other tires. I noticed after only 600 miles, they're starting to show wear signs that other tires I've used don't show until about 1k

Road riding on medium to good surfaces, climbing and descending.
The tire has more rubber and less sidewall. Excellent on the new wider rims.
High performance tire. Wears quickly.

I ride a 1980's Italian road bike and wanted to keep that classic gum wall look with these tyres. What I got was a very smooth riding tyre, that has held up quite nicely.Holds the road very well....even on wet pavement(I live in Oregon)and not one flat tyre...yet !! I would and already have highly recommend these. They have been a great buy !!

these tires were super grippy from the start and still remain that after 200 miles, somewhat skinny compared to today's standards but most rims these days balloon tires out so its all good, somewhat hard to mount but nothing a bit of elbow grease couldnt fix

Ride about 100 miles a week at 120 psi. These tires are very comfortable on roads with cracks and bumps. Keeping my fingers crossed, after 800 miles no flats. Hard corners are no problem, these tires stick to the payment.

pretty disappointed with these. thought they would last longer for a training tire. i tried cause they are used in the tour however they lasted about 8 rides before both front and back had cuts totally through. on 9th ride rear totally slashed through. ive tried a lot of tires for training and found nothing that lasts as well as gatorskins. i will not purchase again.

I'm 510, 155 lbs and ride from San Francisco to points North. I've been riding the Veloflex Pave on my Orbea Opal for the past couple of years and was unpleasantly surprised to find that they are no longer offered. That was my favorite tire.
However, this Veloflex Master appears to be a like for like replacement and delivers the fantastic performance I got used to with the Pave. I love being able to zip around at a firm 140 psi and still get the supple, sticky ride I got addicted to on the Paves. I prefer these over top end offerings from Continental, Michelin, and Hutchinson.
Do yourself a favor and try this tire if you are debating it. I tired it because a fellow in the LBS said everyone should ride this tire once. I'll never go back, the ride is great and the value is excellent.
