It's difficult to find bike parts in the big box stores, and when you do find a product it is usually at a price above the market. That is the reason I buy from Biketires Direct. The quality of their products are good, and their orders come quickly after you've ordered.

It's my rear cassette on trek mountain bike which I bike around neighborhood and paved and crushed trails.

Its great to have a cassette option available for those of us who have older DuraAce 8 spds. I especially like the fact I was able to move up from a 23 cog to a 28 cog which makes the hills a little easier.

My wife's bike is getting on in years and until I can convince her to get a new one I have to maintain the current one! Shifting had started to become a problem and it came down to a worn out cassette. The drivetrain is all SRAM so it was a no-brainer to go with a SRAM replacement. My wife is happy with the shifting once again.

Larger 1st gear for those steep hills and no chain slipping in the smaller cogs just what I was looking for

Great price. But the steps between gears isn't very useful, in my opinion. I prefer a more linear spacing, with less space between the big gears (think Shimano's classic 11-34 tooth 9-speed cassette). Still, for the price, this does the job.

I t does the job.

For those of us able to live without the bleeding edge of drivetrain technology, this is a very affordable, decent quality, reasonably lightweight replacement cassette. I've used this model, along with the PC-830 chain, to keep several of my older bikes running, and have no complaints.

I was looking for the lightest 8spd cassette out there. Not much to pick from but went with this. No regrets except for the 241 gram weight.

I only have about 200 miles on this so far but it works well, looks good (as good as a cassette can look!) and was reasonably priced.

Goes well with my older 8sp drivetrain. Shifts smoothly and looks good. I have to admit though, that I was ideally looking for more like an 11-30.

My oldest road bike is my 21 year old workhorse. For the past ten years, the SRAM PG-850 cassette has been my 1 choice when it's time to replace a worn cassette, durable, consistently dependable, great price. Also works just as well on my older mountain bike!

Just changed two bikes from 7 sp. freewheels. For those interested the Sram cassettes & new hubs saved more than half a pound from each of my 7 sp. setups. I am hoping for less maintenance and wear at least equal to that of freewheels. My rear derailleur is a 10 sp. Campy Centaur and works fine with an 8 sp. Sram chain & DT controls. Sram cassettes are light & provide smooth shifting. An economical and well designed product.
