Got these instead of studs to save money. They rock on hard pack snow and ice. Fit was a little big on my 29er tires, but since I have disc brakes I tightened them up with Velcro straps across the rim. Considering how bad the snow is in VT this year, I'm riding instead of skiing and having a blast! Snowmobile trails, icy dirt roads, even out on the pond. They are surprisingly quiet, and seem to be holding up well to daily use.
