I purchased these from BTD in 2012, and they're my favorite Sidi's to date. I've worn Sidi's as my main shoes since the late 90s, getting a new pair ever couple years. This is the best combination yet of stiff sole, yet retaining the velcro closures that work and are simple. Plus of course, the Sidi fit.

I have always worn Sidi shoes for both mountain and road biking for the last 15 years. First time you put them on they fit perfect and feel great! Bought these over a year ago and at first I loved them. Just 2 months of riding though and the replaceable soles are complete worn out. I have replaced the soles 5 times now in 14 months! Replacing the soles is NOT cheap on these shoes! They are just soft rubber and won't last very long. I actually wore out one set of brand new soles in just four days of riding at Moab. ANY rock scrambling eats though the soles in short order! If Sidi could either make a hard rubber replaceable sole or just use the same non-replaceable sole as they use on there other shoes and I would come back to them.

They are comfortable for the 1 to 2 hour rides I take. The size (43)is what I expected and the fit is perfect. I mounted speed play frog pedals with no difficulty. One of the mounting plates was stiff at first, but with a few careful taps of a screwdriver I was able to adjust plate location. The soft cleats are easy to walk on and not so slippery as the hard plastic on my old Sidi shoes. I have the Lorica shoe, which, while not warm, allows me to ride without shoe covers down to about 45 degrees.
After about a month of 2 to 3 rides a week, the shoes look like new.

I can't say enough about these shoes. They are super comfortable and hold up great to abuse as long as you take care of them. The carbon sole is stiff but still has enough flex to make cyclocross running or the moutain bike hike a bike sections tolerable. Be careful with the sizing though, I tried on the a set of dominators at a local store and these fit a little bigger. Mine also seem to have stretched a little bit, not sure if this is common or actually happened but it feels like it. So while a bit bigger than I wanted they still perform amazing.

Super comfortable and had a very firm and grippy feel to the soles. Love the lorica upper and the shoes felt comfortable out of the box. I went from a Sidi Dominator 10.5 to the Spider's and the fit is right on point. Not too narrow or wide. Just perfect. Oh and they run true to size. These will be the last pair of mtb shoes you'll ever wear, and Cyclocross.com has them at unbeatable prices )
