SidiDefender MTB Shoe(Return to Product Page)

I'm a Sidi fanboy from way back. I wanted a pair of shoes that were walkable for use bike touring. Sidi recently released this shoe and the SD15. Both of them miss and both of them could be awesome.

The SD15 has a ridiculously flexible sole that would benefit from the stiffer sole (actually, the nylon shank) this shoe has. This shoe has the inner protection from the cranks which (a) look silly, and (b) are uncomfortable. Either fix the SD15 shoes sole by adding the sole here or get rid of the higher inner ankle piece.

Normally Sidi knocks it out of the park and their boa-style system is really good. The shoe fits all, walks well and looks stupid. I don't know what else to say. I'd call both of these shoes a miss.

I bought these shoes for the inner ankle protection. I am very satisfied. They fit well and the closures work well
