31 Waist, 173 cm - These pants really keep you dry and are great wind protectors as well. They do get a little toasty but a worthy trade off when needing protection from the elements. I was jealous when I saw other cyclists rain pants that are bright colors and wish Shower Pass offered pants as high-vis as their jackets. But these pants do have reflective stripes that are effective. Holding up great after dozens of rainy days.

I replaced some cheaper, less quality pants with these performers. A very nice improvement in fit, quality and function. I use these on my short daily commute when it's raining. They're pretty warm and don't need warm layers underneath.
Best features
- fully waterproof
- long with lower legs that snug up with velcro straps to keep away from the wind and the chain
- reflective stripe

They keep my legs dry. The fit is pretty baggy on a skinny guy like me. There are much more packable, but more expensive options available from GoreWear. These pants are good for when it's already raining when you head out.

Bought for riding in rain, but have been using in temps below shorts comfort and above where i would want my winter pants. So far so good. I like the way the leg cinches to keep out of the chaain & keep moisture & cold out, but allowing the shoe to fit thru if desired. Waist runs a bit small tho not uncomfortable. W/ the drawstring, the waist could be a bit bigger for those of us in-between sizes (i didn't need the additional leg lenght]. Also, pockets would be a welcome addition.

Fit: 6'1" male 195 lbs - purchased Large. Overall - pretty good fit; waist a bit loose for 33", but draw string tends to overcome that. Inseam - just a tad long when not on the bike, but as others have stated, this insures contact with the top of the shoe/sock interface when pedaling. Velcro adjustment at ankle works perfectly and helps hold the pant off the ground when just walking around a campsite. The ankle zipper is a nice touch to be able to pull over shoes. I used sparingly (less than 5 miles) during a recent 600 mile back packing trip, only during heavy downpours - and they kept me dry when mated with a Showers Pass jacket . As others have stated, a water proof cycling bib may be a better option for day long rides in the rain. Stuff sack is a very nice touch and these take up little space in a pack. I think I will invest in suspenders at some point to improve fit.

I bought these rain pains to specifically go over my thermal bib tights when riding in rain and wintry mix when wind chills approach single digits. They keep you bone dry but somehow don't sweat you up. The velcro straps due a great job keeping your pant legs out of your moving parts. This is my first Shower's Pass purchase but will not be my last. My only complaint, and it is a very small one is that they do make an annoying noise when the thighs rub together. I know, very ticky tack!!!!..........and a small price to pay.

These pants are awesome. Highly recommended. They have all the little, well thought out details. Lower zippers, reflective trim, etc etc. Ive worn them in pouring rain for a 30 min commute and get to work completely dry.

I bought these for an 8 day bike tour of the southern Hebrides islands off Scotland's mainland with my son in April 2022. As expected, the rain came in the latter two days of our trip. These kept me dry and warm, but breathable. I have and recommend the suspenders, too. My son has a pair of the pants and wears them around the hotel. Less to carry on the bike.

I was surprised how well these pants work on wet, rainy weather. My legs are dry and they breathe really well. None of that clammy feeling. I have been wearing them in the colder than normal Seattle winter and they have kept me warm as well as dry.

I liked the material and quality very much but had to return unused because of fit. I'm 5.11, 185 lbs usually large works well. The large in these pants were very tight in my hips and the legs way too long. I think they used George Hincapie for their model!

Pros Highly effective water protection. I especially like the customization of fit at the lower legs.
Cons Runs a little small, so they're tight on my thighs and butt.

Would like to try a pair of these out, however in order to fit my waist measurement, the legs would be dragging on the ground. Do all these manufacturers think we all have the same sized legs? Please give us at least two or three lengths for each waist size!

Haven't had a chance to use these yet as I live in the desert. Getting my gear ready for a trip to Europe later this year. The medium fits well for my 34 waist and 32 length and the construction seems OK. Will try to report on my impression after being able to test them in actual use on the bike.

If you want to go on a long, wet ride, you probably don't want these pants, opting instead for waterproof bib tights. If you want to ride shorter distances in the rain wearing either cycling clothes or work clothes, these are the pants for you. The coverage of these pants is excellent. I'm 6'2 with a 33 waist and 34 inseam. The L size fits well and I just barely need to use the waistband drawstring. Still ample room in the waist and thighs for someone heavier than myself. I like that the legs are LONG. The bottom of the pant leg has zippers on the outside so you can unzip them and pull these directly over your shoes, jeans, everything. After pulling them on, zip down the side zippers and secure the two velco straps to tighten up the pant legs around your calf and ankle. No worries about these getting caught in your chain. With a bent leg, my sock just barely shows when wearing road shoes, so if I wear waterproof shoe covers while biking or wear hiking boot while hiking these will easily overlap for excellent wet weather coverage.

Totally weather proof so far. I have not been in a downpour but I have worn them in snow and with temps under 0 degrees. The ankle adjustments work great for keeping panta out of the chain. They are a great outer layer over bib tights in bitter cold.

The fit and cut is great. Well made and does what it is designed to do: breathable waterproof

I have only used these on two rainy, 25 min. one-way commutes with moderate elevation gain, but can attest to both the high degree of waterproofing and breathability attributed to these pants. I will also be using these as insulation during the upcoming colder January mornings due to the breathability. One sizing note: at 5'9', 150lbs, slim build, the mediums are just a little bulky and long--if I had to order again I would go with a small. Unfortunately, I didn't try them on until the first morning I needed them so unable to exchange after use ( I assume). The do have suspender compatibility so next time I use them will try to take up some of the length with my backcountry ski pants suspenders. Overall, very happy with my purchase despite the slight sizing issue.

i was hesitant to spend so much on rainpants, in the past they have only last one maybe two seasons before they are no longer effective. i have worn these for a season now and they work just as well as the first day. subtle reflective strips help with the deathrace but don't cramp my style. one of the best fits in a rainpant ive ever owned, neither crotch, ankle, or butt ever ride or bunch. sizing chart runs true for pant size, snug with pants underneath best with longjohns when cold. i bought a large and i'm a 34 waist.

These are precisely what I was hoping. Complete protection from the rain, and add just enough warmth for winter cycling without getting hot. Also easy to pull on over shoes but have Velcro flaps that prevent them getting caught in the chain. They pack up nice and compactly in the provided mesh bag so I just leave them in my commuting bag and have them when I need them.

Love these and even though I took a nasty spill and ripped holes in them, they still work great with some duct tape on the inside!
