The rain jacket has some nice features going for it - it's waterproof, light, packs up nice and small for storage and it's not particularly expensive. Now for the unsettling news - it doesn't breathe well at all. If you don't keep cool, the jacket will get soaked on the inside and keep the sweat in. I ride all year long in New England and the only conditions that the jacket doesn't boil you in your own sweat is if it's cool out and you don't get warm. On one occasion during a two hour ride, puddles of sweat collected in the elbows so much so that I had to let the water out of the wrists.

Jacket is good for wind and light rain, but it's definitely not waterproof and ends up eventually soaking through. Any kind of heavy rain and it will start to get through. Probably would have bought a different jacket since i bought this primarily for the rain.

This is a good jacket for cool wet weather. It packs down great and it gives a nice visible glow on those early dark commutes.

I bought this coat on sale at a great price from BTR and as usual it arrived quickly saving a wet ride. The coat worked well and packs easily in a provided stuff bag making it easy to take on any ride. Showers Pass and this coat did not disappoint.

I am very happy with this jacket. Its very light feeling, keeps me very dry, and highly visable. During a recent ride i came around an accident and saw an old friend and after saying hi he said your all too visable and then he laughed. so i am much more visable to drivers. the material is also very light, very easy to work with, very flexible, has nice touches that Shower Pass seems very good with, and this was was very well priced. at 74 years old i remember the old days of heavy rubber outfits and all i can say is Whew glad those days are gone. this jacket is a stunner.

A really great jacket for our rainy climate here in Portland area. The neon color makes me very visible to motorists, a feature i really like. the second feature is the material is very flexible so its not binding like the materials for rain jackets use to be. And thirdly, the jacket keeps the rain off of me. What more could i ask for? i like my jacket!

The rain jacket does everything it promises! I bought this for my son since he commutes to work on his bike. He loves it! He stays dry and he is very visable with the bright yellow color. It is comfortable and he can keep it stowed easily in his backpack. Great purchase.

Affordable no frills jacket. What you would expect. Breaths so not too sweaty. Yes, buy a cover for your helmet.

Early morning rides in the tule fog and late night jogs on country roads are two reasons I purchased this jacket. It keeps the damp cold out and blocks the wind. It keeps the core heat in. I will usually use the two way zipper to open it up and push the sleeves up to prevent swamping in my own body soup. I love the reflective quality for night jogs but I heat up quick. I can remove it and stow it in the included mesh carrying sack. It was affordable and it was another value added purchase from Bike Tires Direct.

This jacket does its job. Definitely waterproof. Can sometimes get a little hot inside the jacket on a long ride. Super compact if you need to store it somewhere.

This Showers Pass Storm Rain Jacket holds out the rain and doesn't cause me to overheat. I like it also because it stores in a small pouch and is ready to use if the weather turns bad. In addition, it fits great and isn't too tight.

It's bright, it packs down to the size of a water bottle, and it's pretty breathable. When it was cooler, I used it as a shell in the mornings to block wind and it did fine. In moderate temps, my torso managed to stay fairly dry, but my arms were still all sweaty. I'd say this jacket breathes better than most, but it still tends to hold some heat and moisture. I haven't ridden it in hot weather, but it would definitely be a sauna inside I'm sure. It's more of a cool weather jacket, or out shell for very cold weather. If you need rain gear for summer for anything more than an occasional rain, you'd better invest in a lighter membrane layer.
Still, good construction. Great fit. Decent, maybe just above average breathability.

I had been getting by with a low cost department store raincoat for several years, but decided to get a better one specifically for biking in wet weather. I liked the look of this one so I put in my order and got one. I was surprised at how light weight it is. It stuffs into an included stuff sack, and takes up little room.

I've worn other rain jackets that didn't have anywhere near the features this one has.The fabric is very lightweight, yet is also very durable. I vey much like the back vents that allow the jacket to breathe while still maintaining the rainproof quality I was looking for.I can see that I'll be wearing thhis jacket for a long time to come. And the high visibility yellow is awesome. I definitely got my money's worth!

Used on a five week tour of Europe. Liked that it was lightweight and compact in its little bag. Tends to get steamy and hot with the limited venting. Will rethink using it on another long tour.

I bought the jacket prior to a one-week trip to Tuscany, and it served me well the jacket is waterproof, light-weight, and packable. I used it to ward off the morning chill on several days, it kept me dry during a heavy downpour, and I could pack it away when not in use. Also, the collar is lined for comfort. On the downside, the inside has a plastic feel which sticks to your skin when you work up a sweat so it's not ideal for uptempo cycling. It might also be a little flimsy for serious touring or everyday commuting. But given the price, it's an excellent buy for casual or occasional use.

Excellent product and a really good value. Keeps rain out and does as good a job with internal moisture build up (always an issue with hard efforts in mild to warm temps) as jackets 3x as expensive. Not race fit, but won't billow on you if you size properly. Good wind protection, not quite as good as GoreTex, but does the job.

Yes, its lightweight, bright, and nicer looking than in the picture. Fits true to size. Nice quality too.

My husband wore this while biking in a rainstorm and stayed dry. He wishes it had pockets though

Great for days when you need a windbreaker and a light moisture barrier. The design, cut and fit beat any others I have owned.
