I have a Cervelo S2 that came with stock Shimano wheels.
I upgraded to Mavic Cosmic and found that that the 55 Aeros caught winds which more than once had me feeling that I was going to crash- so I looked hard for aeros with lower profiles that didn't cost as much as the bike!
I have ridden these through the summer in wind, rain, dry, hot, cold from cruising rides to hard climbs here in Colorado up Independence Pass where potholes can swallow you to smooth pavement with fast descents. These have stood up well to just about anything, yet roll easily and with little flex.
Given that Shimano is what I have as all my components for brakes, rings, derailleur, chain etc, I really find these do a great job. I run Vittoria Rubino Pro slicks or Roads depending on conditions so everything hums along.
You can spend a lot more to drop a few grams, but as much riding as I do for fitness and fun, I have lost quite a few lbs., so you can swap weight off the gut more economically than off your wheels!
I'll probably get another set as a backup - Shimano hubs and rims seem bullet proof so I'll probably mount slicks on one set and the pros on the other to make quick wheel swaps when conditions dictate.

I really do love these wheels and I'm glad I got em, they ride great, look great, and after 1400 miles of hard use, the front is still 100% true, and the rear is about 95% true, not even thinking about truing the rear for another 1,000 miles. Quite impressive, go Shimano! There is a down side, they're quite heavy, I weighed them at 2,069g for the set! 1,182 rear and 887 for the front, but I still love them!

I'm very happy having them; they work well for what I paid

Purchased to replace the Alex wheels that came stock on my Kona Cx. I use this bike for year around commuting through Pdx. These wheels are smooth, roll fast and are notably more durable than I had expected. These are the best wheels, for the price, I have purchased.
