Usually happy with Shimano and especially Ultegra, but this time I got a very noisy chain. (Yes, it was on the right direction.) It sounded like it was always rubbing the front derailleur, but it wasn't. After trying different lubes and fiddling with it, I noticed that the chain would jump on both of the front chainrings, and in several different places along the chain (i.e., not just a quicklink problem). I suppose I could have worked each link independently to find the culprits and see if I would get them to loosen up, but I just replaced it with a Sram, and now the bike is quiet as a mouse. Guess I just got a bad one.

A great chain that shifts well. It replaced my 105.

The durability of the UltegraXT chain stands the test of hundreds of high torque elevation climbs on my Diverge, it's smooth and superb on my gear changes. Bravo

The Ultegra chain now sells at a lower price and just seems to work best on my Ultegra drivetrain.

Lasts several thousand miles and spins smooth. Works great with Shimano drivetrain.

I like the smoothness, durability, and price of Shimano Ultegra chains. This one came with a quick link instead of a breakaway pin. Once I figured out how to install it, it was easier than the pin. You don't need the pliers. Just line up the link, and put pressure on the cranks to snap it into place.

Nice shifting chain. Quite expensive. Of course, how many choices do you have in 11 speed chains? Here in Portland Oregon ,expect about 2000 miles wear in the summer. Much less in the winter if you ride in all conditions. We have highly abrasive grit locally, so expect better wear in more benign environments.

Provides for precise shifts. Peddling feels smooth. A little tough getting the tight tolerance quick link on. But overall a great chain.

The xtultegra chain is the go to work horse chain for my racing season. I can trust it to last and be smooth.
