A bit tight initially, but solid choice so far

I've done tubeless on multiple tire/rim combos for my commuter and gravel bikes over the last few years, but these tires were my first attempt at going tubeless for road. I like double-wrapping the tubeless rim tape, and for the wheels I'm using (Elite ENT disc) that may have been an error. I've never myself experienced those stories about spending hours and getting blisters trying to get tires on until these. However, I can't definitively blame the tires since the wheels were also brand new and I haven't tried any other tires with them so they could be part the problem, plus if I had just single-wrapped the tape initially that could have also made a big difference. (it seems strange, but in my previous experience I've seen where an extra layer of tape can really affect how easily a tire seats). Once I eventually mounted them, I needed to use my compressor to get them seated and they held air for a couple hours without sealant with no bulges or imperfections that I could see.

The tan walls look awesome on my new bike build, and I'm glad I got them in 25mm because they inflate to around 27.8mm on my 21mm ID rims, which gives just enough room on my frame for some stretching over time, but the 28mm version likely wouldn't have fit at all. Once I added sealant I didn't notice any seepage, and after 100 miles of riding I've been pleased overall with their grip and comfort. If you compare them to higher-end tires on bicycle rolling resistance they're not great, but they haven't felt sluggish at all to me. And while 100 miles isn't much, they've already been on some pretty bad cracked/potholed roads and show no damage as of yet. I've had some cheaper as well as more expensive tires on the same roads get several cuts when they were also fairly new.

Before adding sealant I decided to use different valves, and because of the initial struggles I was scared to try remounting them. But after they had been on the rims for a few days and had been inflated several times, getting them back on was no different than any other road tire I've tried in the past, and I was even able to seat them with a track pump! So I'd definitely recommend heating them up a bit (throw them in the dryer, or use a hair dryer on them for a few minutes) before initial mounting. I was overconfident and was attempting in a cold garage. I did try to stretch them a little prior, but adding some heat would have likely saved me some stress and anger :-D.

Thank you for your feedback.

Schwabs One TLE

Ive been riding on these tires for several years. Im average 4-5,000 miles before the crown starts to flatten out. I ride on city streets and rails to trails with zero flats. There are a lot of great tires out there, but these work for me.

Thank you for your feedback.

Easy, Easy!

The E in TLE is NOT misinformation - it really is Easy! Ive never put a road tire on that was so effortless. Id given up on going tubeless with road tires, but the Schwalbe TLE might reverse the trend for me, and maybe many of us. Competitors need to pay attention.

Great tires

My first Schwalbe One tires. Super light. Engage with the road when cornering. Run fast on tarmac. They give you a great secure ride. Only issue I found was getting them on the rim. Would recommend to a friend.

Excellent road tire

I'm using the 32mm version on a 25mm internal width ride and found them very easy to set up on my HED Emporia wheels. I'm running them at 65psi and find them to be very fast rolling and pretty puncture resistant after 2300 miles on them. My only real complaint is the lack of visual wear indicators like the Pro One version since I'm a bigger rider I tend to wear centers out on tires much quicker and unlike my gravel tires the center strip isn't as good of a visual check of the wear.

Thank you for your feedback.

Sturdy

This is a very sturdy tire. Bought the 28mm to run on back wheel for improved puncture protection (was previously running Vittoria Corsa Pro). This inflated closer to 29.5 on my rim which didnt fit my frame so I ended up running it on front. Its been solid, grippy enough, a bit of a bear to install due to materials. Expect to get many miles out of this rubber.

Schwalbe Ones Are Bullet Proof

This is my third set of Schwalbe One TLE tires. I'm averaging 4-5,000 miles on a set. I've ridden in the blazing hot asphalt roads of Utah, rain soaked roads in the Midwest, and cold temps of high altitudes. These tires are all around smooth rolling, great grip, and durable.

I wipe these tires down on the sidewall and center line after weekly rides of 140-50 mile averages. I don't get cuts, divots, or punctures like with tubed tire riders.

I ride high pressure 90-95 psi and top off tubeless sealant once a month.

These are a great all around road tire

Thank you for your feedback.

Good commuter tires!

I use these on a steel frame commuter bike. I've used the pro version on my race bike in the past with great results and these are almost as good! About 500 miles so far and no punctures, where I've had many many punctures with other tires on the same route. Running at lower pressures is much more comfortable, and I run these around 55 psi. They seem to be a bit wider than the conti gp 5k tubed tires they replaced - I noticed some fender rubbing that was not present previously. Not the end of the world, but worth noting.

As Good as the best?

I accidentally ordered this Schwalbe tire when a friend forwarded me the incredible price break from BikeTiresDirect.com However, I failed to notice this was not the "Schwalbe PRO ONE TLE 700c Road Tire". As such, it's not the "PRO" version, which has twice the TPI on the sidewalls and is a bit lighter. But I mounted the non-PRO version and to be honest, I can't really tell a difference, especially since this was mounted on the rear wheel. One observation - there are no convenient wear holes on this tire, but it seems to be getting very good mileage with no flats. For a non-competitive older rider like myself, maybe this is the ultimate tubeless tire to use. Time will tell.

Thank you for your feedback.

So far so good

These tires were a cinch to install as tubeless. We have some pretty rough roads in areas and lots of construction. These have held with all the bumps and jolts from construction and rough roads. I would definitely buy again.

Great tubeless road tires

Love these tires. Much more durable than the higher level and higher priced Pro One's with minimal impact to power & speed. Great overall tire.

Perfect

This tire is amazing. I've tried others and have gone back to Schwalbe. The tire is so long lasting that you need to watch the wear and normally i get over 2500 miles. Also, very few flats. The tire nearly flat resistant.

Thank you for your feedback.

Second set, pretty happy

Fast rolling with plenty of grip. I've been using these tires since August of 2023, road most of the Central Willamette Valley winter on them. Zero flats in 2.5k miles. Only issue I have is they drop to 60psi every night.... This could be the rims as well, but two different sets rims with the same issue. I run 70psi in tubeless because I'm 200+lbs. Overall great tire for the money.

Thank you for your feedback.

Great tires at a GREAT price!

These have been my go to tires for road riding. Mount easy only using hands, setup tubeless easy with a floor pump, have great puncture protection all at a great price with BTD.

Not as Good as I hoped

I've ridden Conti GP5000TLs and Schwalbe Pro One TLE too (when mounting Conti was too tough). I was very hopefully with the Schwalbe One TLE = more protection than Pro One TLE yet still with better than average performance. I was using it mainly as a Training tire during the FL winter. The Performance has been good but the puncture protection has been a disappointment. I'll acknowledge that I'm surrounded by commercial roads that are "landmines" for bike tires no matter how vigilant I am trying to avoid debris while not being killed by vehicles. Intersections & Bike lanes (never swept) are the garbage cans for everything imaginable. I had a small front puncture that sealed itself, fatal rear sidewall cut on first ride on a different set and then a fatal rear center line cut on the 1st set. That was all within an expensive six week puncture vortex that I thought was never going to end.

Also note - depending on your Rim - the bead is VERY difficult to break once set. It has a softer & elastic type bead that once in place is EXTREMELY difficult to break unless you have gorilla strength in your hands. I had to cut the 2nd fatal tire off the rim. Also note - forcing a tubeless tire (designed to be a tighter fit than a clincher) onto a rim runs the risk of creating a Tire wobble. Don't ask me how I know. No plans to buy anymore once current ones wear out.

Thank you for your feedback.

Let the good times roll!

I ride about 10k a year. Long time Schwalbe fan and have them on almost all of my bikes. With the weird pandemic year we've had and the supply chain being messed up due to COVID it was time to ditch the inner-tubes and go tubeless. These were a relatively easy install. Relatively easy as I was new to it. They've been trouble free so far since the installation. I'm quite pleased with them.

Difficult to mount, easy to inflate, not very durable

Tire was extraordinarily difficult to mount on my Light Bicycle AR46 wheels. Required two tire levers plus a bead jack tool. There's absolutely no way that you could ever service this tire on the side of the road.

Which brings me to the second negative; in the first month of usage I got two punctures that required the tire to be removed from the rim and patched because they wouldn't seal with sealant. The process of getting the tire on and off the rim is frustrating enough that I decided to abandon these tires after only a month and switch to the GP5000.

They look and ride great, though, and they're exceptionally easy to inflate even with a standard floor pump. The fit is so tight that they lost no pressure at all over the first couple of days before I added the sealant.

Thank you for your feedback.

So Far - So Good

Historically, a Conti GP4000 & GP5000TL rider. However, mounting GP5000TL tires on SOME wheels can be a very difficult, frustrating & time consuming process. Even when mounted, sometimes big wobbles are visible. I've had 2 Conti Warranty claims (2 sets)- including one set up by a Dealer when they had the same problem. Now maybe that was from the early batches of the new 5000TL model.

So I decided to try Schwalbe tires for one particular Wheelset that was extremely difficult to mount the Conti (it would have been a nightmare if i had to insert a tube with a big failure out on the road), So picked up ProOne TLEs and liked them. But like many high performance tires, puncture protection is not their strength. Currently, I'm riding in a very dirty road area & wanted some additional puncture protection while training this winter on a training wheelset. So decided to try the Schwalbe ONE TLE (tubeless easy tag) model.

So far I've been pleased. They have very good performance, great grip and better protection + no issues setting up Tubeless. They are easier to mount than Conti. After over 550 miles, I have no complaints. I did have a small puncture on the front last month but it sealed itself. Felt so good about the Schwalbe One TLEs, I bought another set.

BTW - riding 28s

Love how these tire look on my bike!

No complaints on how they look. Got plenty of good comments on how sick my bike looks with these tires. Very hard to mount. Have to put some muscle grease to snap them on. I run tubeless. Dry mounted them first and they weren't holding the air in. Once I put the sealant, air held in nicely. The tires feel great and descending has never been better for me. My only concern now is the durability since I got a puncture on my rear tire after 225 miles. The sealant sealed it pretty good and was able to finish my ride. I will unmount the tire and patch up the tire for peace of mind. Depending on how the tires hold up, I will update the tires durability. Roads and trails I normally ride on are pretty clean btw
