I bought this tire to replace the dirt tires on my Trek 8.5 DS. My daily ride is 13 miles and involves rough Connecticut rural roads with 2 miles of dirt road thrown in for good measure. The tires have performed flawlessly on all surfaces, I cant imagine a tire performing better. Next week I tackle the Great Allegany Passage and C&O canal. I have no concern regarding theses tires.

Mounted a set of these on my and my wife's hard tail 29ers since we use them mostly on the road as our commuter bikes and 'gravel grinders' on weekends. Wanted tires that had good puncture resistance and wear qualities. Previously had a pair of Schwalbe Marathons on both bikes and wore them down to the inner puncture resistant layer so we've had good experience with them.

Tires a little heavy but roll very nice. 500 miles so far with no flats. Tires went on with no problems and run true. Very happy.

You better protection against flats and road hazards. trade off is that ride is nowhere nearly as smooth as many other tires. Replaced one rear at 5.5k miles with no flats, and front still going strong,

The Schwabe Marathon tires are great. I replaced my tires on my Trek Verve+ after 4300 trouble free miles. The rear tire was starting to wear and I had a 330 mile trip coming up. I replaced both tires. I kept the old front tire as a spare. With these tires, I have had not one flat. Great tire produced by a great company. Bike tires direct got my new tires to me quickly. Will definitely order from them again.

These tires do everything and not getting a flat is a huge plus. I bike commute to work on a trail and then ride on city streets in heavy traffic. Great traction, seem to never get a flat and the reflective striping is just a bit more visibility for peace of mind. They are a bit tough to install but once they are on - your golden!

Tires are heavy and hard to put on rims but I hardly ever get flats.

I've been using these for years. Extremely durable, work great with heavy loads and can take abuse. Fairly resistant to flats. No complaints, I will continue to stick with these tires.

I use a 45 MM tire for cross country cycling which is hard to find in any brand! It took only five minutes to get my order together and a few days to get possession of it and get me on the road!

These tires were a bit hard to get on the first time but worth it. They give a nice plush ride with out fealing squishy. So fare they are bomb proof and they extra weight in a non issue when you have a loaded ride. They handle well in water and debris too.

I have Marathon Plus' on three of my bikes, and they have reduced the amount of flats considerably. They are really good tires in the rain too, only real draw back is they're a little heavy. I guess you have to accept the little extra weight to offset the puncture protection, but for where I ride it's worth it.

I put these tires on both of my bikes and I have no regrets. They wear well, I have not had a flat since I put those on my bike and I ride in areas that have nasty thorns on the bike path. I also like the reflective sidewall which I feel is "value added".

I have used the Schwalbe Marathon Plus tire for self-contained touring for 3 years. By rotating frontrear tires, I get 2,500-3,000 miles per pair on these tours. Never a worry about flats, and they hold tire pressure for multiple days. Good on paved roads as well as crushed limestone trails, rain or shine with great traction. Try them, you'll like them!

I have been riding on Schwalbe Marathon Supreme and Marathon Plus tires for about 8 years now. My first set of Marathon Supremes were used mostly for touring and randonneuring so I was able to get 8,000 miles on them. Then I moved from North Carolina to Washington DC so my second set of Marathon Supremes was used mostly for city riding.
I had over 5,000 miles on that set when one day I ran over a small rubber horseshoe on the trail near my home. I had just passed a park ranger on a horse and it had evidently thrown a rubber cleat. There were 3 nails sticking up on the rubber cleat and 2 of the nails penetrated my front Schwalbe. The cleat hit my fender as the front wheel rotated so I had to stop. As I started to pull it out of the tire, I hear a hissing sound so I left it in.
I was able to ride the remaining 2 miles with the cleat slapping my fender and the trail pavement all the way home. I got home just fine with plenty of air left in the tire. I could probably have gotten another 2,000 miles on those tires but I decided to install a new set of Schwalbe Marathon Plus tires I had waiting in my workshop.
I now have over 2,000 miles on the new Marathon Plus tires on my city bike and have installed a second set of Marathon Plus tires on my new touring bike. I love these tires and will not ride anything else for touring and city riding.

I use these tires for my winter riding when shoulders are covered with debris and wet. They are super positive in these conditions and highly durable. Definitely on the heavy side but worth their weight in the security they provide. I have used the 25, 28 and 32 and like the 25's the best.

These tires were a bit more expensive than I would usually pay, but like most of us, I hate getting flats. They were easier to mount than I expected and fit my rims well despite being wider than my last tires, but I got a flat within two weeks. I was using them in conjunction with Michelin A3 Protek Max 700c Tubes so the tire didn't go completely flat. Never found the cause and didn't have to repair or replace anything, and knock wood, I've been good since.

I had an older set of Schwalbe Marathon Plus tires with a slightly different tread pattern. I rode them across country. I only had 5 or 6 flat tires over 3,500 miles. These tires are highly glass resistant. Tire wire was the culprit behind most flats I had. The wider tires are great for gripping the very edge of the road - something you'll be doing often if you tour. The performance in light snow (less than 3) and ice is acceptable as long as you decrease PSI and buy a studded high quality snow tire for the front wheel.
When I wore the tires down after another 2K miles I decided to use the stock tires while commuting to and from work (about 12 miles round trip). The stock tires by Continental on my LHT did not stand up to the tire wire or glass in the street. I had one flat every two weeks due to major punctures. I decided to pay up one more time.
I purchased this updated version of the Marathon Plus and couldn't be happier. No more flats. Yes, they are heavier, but it's worth every extra gram. In the long run I have saved time and money with these tires. You will likely too!

I commute 16 miles a day on these tire and roll over a lot of broken glass. I've put 5200 miles on them over the last 2 years and they show little sign of wear, and I haven't had any flats. I love the reflective rims. They were a little hard to mount the first time, as other reviewers have noted. And they weren't cheap. But they are well worth it. I still have a lot of enthusiasm for these tires!

Went from 28mm Conti that came on my Schinbdelhauer Ludwig city bike to these Schwalbes 25 mm...from 85 psi to 100...no sacrifice of comfort and with less rolling resistance. No flats yet.
