Rode the C&O and GAP Trails in DC, MD and Pa. The tire was unstoppable on hard packed dirt, bumps, ruts and gravel - the best I've ever ridden!

Schwalbe G-ONE RS 700cc x 40 gravel tires are the best of the best. This tire is so fast on most gravel conditions, I'd say 2 mph faster for the same effort on flat and downhills. It's just as good going uphill, it just doesn't "feel faster"; it's just easier. I pity the folks who have to follow me with more aggressive mtn bike bias tread, although I usually just slow down a little (when they're looking). Of course I ride these tires tubeless somewhere between 35 psi and 60 psi (when I'm 100% on the pavement cuz there's still now on the FSRs). I have had several punctures from road and trail debris, including thorns and a small screw. Quick stop, rotate the leak to 6 o'clock, press a bit, seal the leak, wait 1 minute, and continue on my adventure. The last pair lasted between 1500-2000 miles, and they did thin where the rubber meets the road, so I replaced them with same same. Bit pricey, but if you love going fast on gravel, they are worth every dolla!

I bought this not for gravel use but for use in Winter. In winter, we have lots of rainy days with temp between 0-5c. So to have avoid slippery roads I got these tires. I am pretty happy with them and have experienced no issue. Only tiny non-issue is the fact that when I tried to pop the tires on, it took more than recommended PSI to get it sit on the bead properly. I had to go ~10 PSI higher and be a bit patient for the tire to pop on the bead. Once done, I removed the excess air from the tire and adjust PSI to what I wanted and tire was sitting on bead with no issue. Overall happy and recommend it.

Have about 400 miles so far on these and am very impressed. 700x45. Have ridden hard packed and loose gravel, road and chunky class 4 up and down. Tubeless - 29 psi in the rear, 27 in the front on 25 internal. 62 and 173.
Confident in the corners and FAST. The light center tread is holding up well. I recommend these highly for someone looking for a fast rolling gravel tire that performs!

Probably the best tracking tires Ive ever used. These tires do a great job on every variety of gravel and are so fast. However, the slightest bit of slick mud will absolutely obliterate these tires.

Bought these for my Trek Checkpoint for some more speed on the road. They have been great for bothon and offraod and are very fast. Going to be getting another set in 700x35s for my wifes bike.

These tires are a great blend of gravel and road. That's perfect for me because I sometimes commute on bike paths to work on my gravel bike. They roll nicely, grip well, and are super light.

I bought some of these second hand, low miles, in size 35mm. They were destined for an "all road bike" and/or an older cross frame I was building up with limited clearance. Otherwise I'm on the "bigger is better" train for gravel bike tires. But seeing as the 700x45s are unobtanium, I was pretty happy to have had a good reason to run 35s. Let me tell you, these tires are fast af. They have a super sticky and soft compound that feels premium, I'm not sure how long they'll hold up. I haven't run them on any really gnarly stuff yet, just a couple gravel rides, some play around on buff xc trails and a bit of loose dirt road descending. I will say they are not the most confidence inspiring in terms of grip. But they are 35s, and I'm not expecting much. I'd say they perform about as well as a 35 slick would + a little extra. Run them a tad lower pressure and I think they will perform admirably but not astonishingly well. There are other tire choices if that's your bag. They were designed for the SBT course and I think they'd excel there and in similar conditions. I myself raced SBT on Challenge Strada 36mms and thought they were just right.

The G-One RS 45mm is a great tire. I've ridden other Schwalbe variants and a couple of IRC tires. This is by far my favorite. It was easily mounted tubeless with a floor pump. It's pretty fast on the road, but it more shines off-road with it supple sidewalls. I can't speak much to the durability since the terrain I ride doesn't really have sharp rocks, but it's held up just fine for the 500 miles. I will be buying them again.

I got these tires for racing at SBT GRVL, as I wanted something fast, but prefer to have some grip rather than a total slick. I could not have chosen a better tire. I rode the 100 mile Blue course, composed of mostly well groomed, wide gravel roads, but the course does have a few trickier sections. There was primitive, non-technical single and double track, some silty, rutted Jeep road, and a single descent with ruts, bumps and some bigger loose rocks. The tires inflated out to 40 mm on my Roval 25 mm (inner) width rims, and I ran them at 35 psi R and 33 PSI F. They ended up being fast everywhere, including on the road sections which were mostly flat and downhill with lots of fast drafting. The ride was supple and very comfortable. And, they had enough grip for me to pretty much be passing folks everytime we came to any descent with cornering, as I was confident in both the grip, and the feedback the tires gave as to when they might start to slip a bit. These are highly recommended for fast gravel riding and racing in mostly dry conditions.

These tires are plush enough for gravel, smooth enough for pavement, and grippy enough for light singletrack. Get em!

Just finished MidSouth on these and they are as advertised. People were flatting left and right. A few times I hit some chunky gravel at speed and thought for sure I was about to flat but they just kept rolling. Fast and durable.

I rode DK200 on Donnelly MSO because of their ruggedness and left them on for a year after. I wanted to find something more supple and faster and the reviews of these were great. They lived up to the hype. A fast tire but not only that they grip exceptionally well. I was taking turns faster and I'm not a daredevil. Also they pumped up to the exact size: 40mm. My other 40's pumped to a shade under 42. So these are true to size listed.

I replaced my Rene Herse Bon Jon Pass with the Schwable G-One RS and it was major step change in performance. The G-One RS are quiet and quick on the tarmac and feel super confident cornering on the dirt.

Amazing , supple , fast , tough, light, quiet. what else do you need to have in a gravel tire? oh, its very durable as well.

Bought the 40s. They didn't feel as snappy and responsive as other tires that I've ridden. Definitely not as supple either. Only put 100 miles on them before switching back to my Tufo gravel thundero.

Rolls great on pavement and gives me all the traction I need on dry class 1-3 gravel. Very comfy as well. Highly recommend!

The 'best' gravel tire for you depends in large part on where you live and how you like to ride. I've tested dozens of tires and have talked to product managers and winning pro racers and test-lab engineers about various models. I do most of my riding in the often-dry state of Colorado and the American west, and the G-One RS is my favorite, hands down.
