Very light and comfortable bar for my gravel bike. Replaced the stock bar on my Giant revolt. I was unable to notice much of a difference between the salsa bar and the stock bar in terms of damping. The stock bar had a weird shape near where it attached to the stem so I was glad to be rid of it.

Couldn't be happier with the Salsa Cowchipper bars. Really nice upgrade if you have aluminum bars. They definitely take the edge of the road and trail. The shape is perfect for me. On the hoods they feel similar to a regular road bar but in the drops they widen out to give more stability. The drops are also shallow so they are easier to stay in. The bars are nice and light but they feel strong and not overly flexible.

Being able to go in the drops but not be hunched over makes a difference. Plus for me its easier to go much faster. I highly recommend these handle bars and the added bonus is much less back back pain!

I replaced the flatbar on my Specialized Sirrus with the Salsa Cowchipper carbon handlebar and love the results. It totally improved the feel and ride of the bike. I got a bike fitting right after the swap and changed out the stem as a result.
