These tires do NOT fit Schwinn bicycles which from the 1960s and 70s that have 37-597 size rims.

Almost three years ago I installed these tires and reviewed them a few months later. Since then, I'd like to upgrade my ratings to all five stars based on my time with them!
The initial rapid wear continued until there was a flat, smooth center rib (about 900 miles), then it seems they quit wearing! The bike doesn't go more than 2-4 miles per trip, so it's taken all this time to get to 1650 miles, and they're due for another front-back rotation (done about every 500 miles.) So they've already done better than my average tire life and look like they have plenty more to go!
Flats have been minimal, too. We've got plenty of goathead thorns which will get any tire, but glass and road crud haven't been a problem. They seem to be plenty tough in that department.
Another thing it's hot and dry here, and after a couple of years, most of my tires show moderate to bad cracking on the sidewalls, even when treated with preservatives. These still look great, and have never even had anything applied.
Will be ordering these again!

Bought a pair late last summer to put on an old three spd knockabout bike. They're very nicely made, rather sticky, and hang on as well in the wet as the dry. Also quite comfortable to ride at higher pressures than most tires this size can handle. And they don't flat too easily.
Downside is tread wear. I'm in Clydesdale territory-about 250 lbs of bicycle and me-and ride up a lot of hills, which doesn't help. At about 600 miles, the rear tread is worn to about 13 of what it was new. I usually count on about 1200-1500 miles, but figure by 800-900 this one will be done. The front is still at about 23 of new.
I'd recommend this tire to someone more concerned with ride quality than mileage. Especially for a heavier riderbike combo. A little harder tread compound would really be great!
