The tires were on sale for a really good price. I was a bit skeptical about the tires because of that. I mounted them and hit the road on a pretty tough, mountainous gravel grind. Inflated to 38 lbs they provided a comfortable ride, even over washboard sections and multiple potholes. Very satisfied.

use it on my gravel grinder bike. good tire a little heaver than I would like but seems like good flat protection even though it says 40 m looks like a 35m, good tread pattern for gravel. the price is why I bought it.

I have to agree with the previous reviews of the sizing of this tire not fulfilling the stated 40mm width. I could tell just from looking at the tire that it runs small and after measuring with a set of calipers my suspicion was right. I replaced both tubes with Kenda 35-43mm and I pumped them up to 60 psi. The max stated pressure is 75psi on the tire wall. With a set of calipers and being generous with the measurement they both came out to be 36.5mm across. I took them for a short spin and was pleasantly surprised with the low rolling resistance. I aired down to 40 psi and went through a short horse trail and had no complaints either. To be fair these are my first gravel tires for my Fuji Tread CX. My only gripe is the sizing misinformation. From the forums I have read, UK 40c sizing never really meets up with the American 40mm. If your looking for a lower priced 36mm tire go with the 40c speed max.

These came on a Jamis hybrid I bought new. I have 1200 miles on mine and they ride great. They are fast and last a long time. I am 230lbs so my rear tire is about 60% worn down, but I cant find a thing wrong with these, especially for the price point.

Have not ridden yet. Tire quality looks good. Bought the 700x40 because I wanted something with a little more volume for the rocky area I use for training after work. Fully inflated on the rim the tire is barely 35mm sidewall to sidewall. No extra height either. No larger than a Michelin Jet. Thought about returning them, but it's a serviceable training tire at a very low price, so I'll try them.

Been riding these for over 1 year now, no flats, rotated once(recently), over city and country roads with plenty of debris, and many heavy loads. I will downsize from the 40mm I purchased, seem to be too soft when cornering on roads. They also run a bit large. These tires have to be one of the best values I have ever gotten for my ride. No wonder they are OOS.

not gonna win any beauty or weight weenie contests with this one, but they do provide a great ride on nasty roads. fit just fine on my Bianchi Zurigo CX frame and measure a little over an 37mm wide on 15mm internal width rims...

Bought these to pair up with a set of michelin A3s. Talk about bomb proof, I haul heavy loads and don't need flats to slow me down. It's a heavy combo but that's what I wanted. Ridden 200 miles so there still in the testing stage, the way they feel under me I could ride to the moon and back!

Love these for cyclocross racing and commuting. Light, fast rolling tire for any terrain. Easy to mount and great cornering grip.

While flat tires come from plain old bad luck, I rode these tires for over 1000 miles before a flat. All of those miles were on the gravel of the Flint Hills of Kansas, including 200 miles of the Dirty Kansa. These tires are the real deal they are fast, corner without slipping and cushion your ride. This year during Dirty Kansa on more expensive tires, after 3 flats I put my Cross Comps from last year back on and have not had a problem. You can spend tons of $$$ on tires but these are a great buy.
