I bought this product because of its extra safety features. So far I have not needed them, so can't say that I can evaluate them. What I can say is that this helmet is light and cool. There does not seem to be any compromise when adding the additional safety features, other than some possible aesthetic issues. The high-visibility orange is very noticeable, and it is not as pretty to look at as other helmets, but if it lives up to its billing for keeping your head safe then it is well worth the trade off.
