These are the perfect tires to change your mtb to a street ride.

Incredibly low rolling resistance compared to the old knobby tires, yet still provides enough traction on grass and soft dirt. At maximum PSI these tires do great on the road, at normal/average PSI they soften out the rough spots-take your pick. Sidewall is a little thin and flimsy, so I wouldn't recommend going much below 50 PSI, my tube got pinched on some rough gravel.

Changed out deep aggressive knobby tires on my wife's Cannondale for something a little less aggressive and considerably less rolling resistance so the gal doesn't have to pedal her behind off. Well, her bike isn't quite a hybrid quite yet! These work perfectly for sidewalk riding and some light trail use. I wouldn't have go down a single track with these, but if you need to turn that monster, ahhhhh..... mountain (LOL), bike into something a little less mountainy and a little more streety, then these will work well and are priced right. I'm considering adding them to my Gary Fisher Tassajara as I'm not riding as much dirt mud trails much these days either, but I don't mind the extra pedal power required for the knobs, I need the exercise...LOL.

I ride a hybrid on roads and gravel so I needed a tire that would get good rolling on hard surfaces and yet grip on looser stuff. Bought my first set over a year ago and probably have 800-1000 miles on them. They are going strong but this sale was too good to pass up. Only flats I have had were caused by two instances of very fine wire which I am told is common on resurfaced asphalt streets as they partially use recycled shredded car tires with steel belts.
I am happy to recommend www.biketiresdirect.com to my riding buddies.

Purchased a pair of these tires to replace some stock knobby tires on a full-size folding mountain bike that I use to commute to work. They make a huge difference in ride and comfort. Long lasting also. Will definitely buy another pair when it's time to replace the current pair.

I needed a tire to hit the paved trails, open roads, and graveled roads that are common where I live. Bought a set and ended up buying a second set for my wife's bike since they worked out so well for me.

This tire was easy to install on the rim and is a good quality tire for on-road and off-road use. So far, I've used it only for commuting about 25 miles tofrom work. I'm happy with the tire at this point!

Perfect on the hard packed dirt and gravel trails that run all through my home town. Corners great on pavement, too, and so smooth and quiet that I had to buy a bell. Traction is way better than I expected on dirt - haven't tried any mud yet, and don't really expect much, but can't really remember the last time I went looking for mud on purpose anyway. Very pleased so far with this tire - With 60 lbs of air it turned my full suspension mountain bike into a perfect old mans all purpose cruiser. Great price, too.

I have ridden this tire on asphalt and gravel trails. It rolls really well on asphalt and has enough tread to be sure-footed on gravel/dirt, too. I've ridden my first set about 3000 miles. No flats, the rear is starting to show a little wear, but probably will go another 1000 miles or more. Excellent service so far!

The tire is light and smooth rolling. Handles compact and loose gravel trails well. Has great traction on wet pavement. The tread pattern are very close, causing road debris to get wedged in.

I bought this tire because of price but found price isnt everything. The tire does roll pretty decent for what it is but I can not get over the fact that I have been riding my bike as a commuter in Texas and have had multiple flats. The only good thing is I run slime tubes so I didnt have to stop. I ride 7mi one way to work on all road and 7mi back home, these things get flats with little pebbles constantly. I would not recommend these to someone who rides where the roads are not constantly swept. I have had these for about 6 months now and I am getting something better.

Converted my rigid mountain bike to gravel / city use and I selected these. Roll really well and mount easily. Good quality and reasonable weightand a great price! Highly recommended.

Great tire for turning my mountain bike into a gravel cinder trail bike.

Does ok on pavement or hard pack dirt. Rolling resistance is good for road commute on the mtn bike. Did not work well this last year in gravel touring on rail to trails about 200 miles. Several flats just on the gravel with a load of 40 lbs. This was with Kevlar liners and slime. Tires just are not protective enough. I would not compare to Schwable touring tires in any way. Only use on pavement without puncture risk.

I put these on an old trek 820 that I sometimes use to ride around town on. I am averaging 2mph faster on my 9 mile workout route than on the knobby tires that were on it before. On hardpack these tires are great. I recently went on a trail ride where the trail was a little soft and had a lot of leaves covering the path. They did fine, but did slide around some, which was expected. You won't want to lean over to the edges on softslick surfaces and you might need to use you rear brake more to bring the bike around in tight corners on the trails. More of a hard surface tire, but can be ridden on the trail as long as you change your riding style to suite its weakness. A great all around tire that is geared more towards speed and hardpack.

C'mon - are you REALLY going to do a lot of off-road biking? - or do you just prefer a mountain style bike for getting around? If you don't need to go through mud, etc., this is a really great tire. It does have enough tread to tackle most trails (if you're even planning to ride on any trails.) but the 1.75 width and a not-too-agressive tread is really perfect for getting around town and occasionally having to maneuver a gravel road or cut across a lawn. It looks great too. Okay - so the name is a little hokey - whatever
Great tire for my purposes. Very good price.

I purchased a set to replace my 5 year tires that were well past worn out. I installed both the day after I received them, it has been a few weeks now and I have done my usual riding on many different types of surfaces, (other than sand covered roads that will happen over the summer). I have to say so far I like the ride and the quality of the tire is good. Now I must admit my old tires were well past their life span so the fact that I have any type of new tire may be a factor but this is second set of tires on this bike and I think I can say they best all-purpose tire I ever used on this this and other bikes I have owned.

My son uses these to bike to high school and around the neighborhood. They are lighter weight and a bit narrower than his old tires. He is riding packed gravel and paved roads. Great buy.

I ride city streets and sidewalks 15-20 miles every day and these Country Rock tires still have the look of fairly new even months of that amount of use. Over the years I have had several pairs of Michelin tires and all held up extremely well with not only
Tread wear but puncture resistance s well... Cost for some may be an issue but trust me when I say theyre worth every single penny. I TRUST MICHELIN!
