I recently mounted these tires on my 10 speed to single speed conversion (1980 Fuji Monterey). For the money these tires are simply wonderful. I'm also a track bicycle racer so I ride all my single speed bikes hard and fast (including this Fuji Monterey)whether I'm racing at the velodrome or ridingtraining on the street. These tires are comfortable, fast, and corner great, but yet still have that classic look with the gummy side walls. I'm also using Kenda thorn resistant inner tubes for just a little bit more puncture protection. What a tremendous value.

When I purchased these tires my prime concern was price, but since riding my bike now I see I made a great choice. The tires are quiet and smooth. I just checked them and they are still holding their pressure. My previous tires which were originals to the bike would air after a week. I am still using the original tubes so something different is going on. The tires match the originals in appearance but have out classed them in comfort and performance. I am very happy with them and recommend them to anyone looking for a great tire. I ride a Kabuki 12 speed street bike.

I love the vintage feel and it rides well. It is good for riding on the streets and gets me around at an incredibly reasonable price.

I am an occasional biker ususlly short to medium distances over roads mostly. I find no problems at with these tires. They fit well on my vintage Schwinn World Sport rims.

For the price, it's the best tire you can get. Most definitely recommend it!

Good price and durability. Do not inflate 90PSI, bubbles out at high pressure trauma. Keep at 75PSI.

The review about uneven gum walls. You should fill tire to 85lbs check to see if tire set. Then let air out to were you would like it to be. See if uneven side wall go away!

I have an old school Peugeot and it needed some new feet. After looking locally, I went to the net and found biketiresdirect.com. It was efficient, price effective, and they came within days. Easy to put on, the yellow trim matches the bike, and simply put, what I like about these tires is that I get to feel the natural speed of the bike on nice straightaways, and can maneuver in city lanes. If you need tires, or replacement tires, I'd recommend them. For the price it's great, but if you are doing more mountain style biking, you might want a thicker tire. happybikerider

I really like this tire! it's an in-between road and mild off road tire. I mainly run the bicycle paths which are very smooth and clean, it works as a road tire there with much less friction. I ride the main roads getting to the path, this tire feels safe there, a small tire and a pot hole does'nt mix well

This is a great replacement tire for your older model road bike. Put 2 on my '87 Schwinn Sprint 10 speed and they are great!

Matched original perfectly even the tread was the same.

The tires fit the rims perfict i bought four tires and put two on the ROSS GRAN TOUR and two on my SMD KABUKI both bikes are classic 1978 racers that were in the

attic for 32 years,they look and ride like new.

As a college student who commutes by bike, these tires have gone above and beyond the call of duty. These tires have seen close to 4,500 miles over the course of 3 years, all in Upstate NY with the snow, salt and crumbling shoulders. I only got one flat from a nail in the grass that I didn't see. Only complaint is he sidewall did start cracking pretty badly by the third year, which led to some areas of the sidewall to separate from the tread.

Bought a pair to replace the worn out tires on my 1985 Sears Free Spirit 12 speed. These tires are like the original gumwalls right down to the treads ! Never got a flat on my old ones so these should be the same as they are identical. Smooth rolling and quiet after installation !

I replaced both tires before we went camping during spring break. While camping, we took numerous rides through trails with smooth hard packed dirt with a few rocks and sand spurs. I've heard others say they had flats after taking these trails, but we had no problems. They seem to be great tires.
