Best in comfort, style, and ventilation. This is my 7th helmet and I ride in Phoenix in the summer.

I recently received a Protone with a small crack. It could be from shipping damage, who knows. Today, I got my replacement, and it is perfect!!!! I am happy with the service. They shipped my replacement, before I even took my defective helmet to a UPS store. I will buy from you again. Thank you for great service!

Protone kask helmet has a nice feel. Sizing is true to size and fits comfortably well compared to my old helmet. Nice upgrade and would definitely recommend it to my friends. Worth the bucks!

Excellent helmet, sits low and conforms to your head, very stylish as well. The Kask Protone is a high quality helmet, very adjustable and fits very well on your head. It has a low profile and feels very snug yet comfortable while wearing. Lastly, it just look great while wearing... the best helmet I've owned. The price is well worth it, especially from Biketiresdirect.com

If the helmet fits and the fit will not compromise your safety in a crash then it is a worthy investment. Of course, you would not know if the helmet is designed to protect your head until you crash and you do not want to do that to test it. My biggest complaint is I could not use it and returned it because if it is tight enough I would get a headache and if it is too lose it will not serve its purpose. The contour of the helmet is not compatible with my head and I could not get the right tension to keep me headache free and happy rider. The buckle and strap system is one of the best if not the best on the market as the leather strap will not irritate your skin and throat while riding, eating and drinking. Like all helmets and shoes, if the fit is not good do not use them even if you get your hands on a free one. It can be dangerous and quite uncomfortable in the long run!. Kask makes great helmets only if the fit is right! I have tried other models from Kask and unfortunately none fit me to warrant the investment. Some of them have too much plastic in the back I could not put on my Rudy Project (Rydon) glasses as the plastic in the back of the helmet was obstructing the ear pieces from sliding through and staying in place. .

Protone is used for road riding and mountain biking. I have used it with a liner for winter riding. Best feeling helmet I have owned. It replaced a Kask Mojito.

This is my new cooler weather helmet. Excellent aerodynamics with not a lot of wind noise around the ears, so it is easier to hear traffic. Looks good in matt black, already received several compliments. Easy to adjust.

Given the normal price - even the typical sale price - I had never even considered this helmet. From watching Team Sky and the GCN boys wearing it I really liked the look, but couldn't justify the money for something that probably wouldn't protect me any better than the $30-$40 helmets I normally used. Living close to the BTD store has some advantages besides saving on shipping, and I happened to come across a display model that didn't have the helmet case and was significantly cheaper than any sale price I had ever seen for these. I tried it on and the combination of fit, comfort, and aesthetics completely sold me. I have a slender head and face, so a lot of helmets look bulbous on me, but this one is quite sleek. Got compliments on the low-profile look from my riding buddies.
Have had this for a year now, and can honestly say it's one of the best bike-related purchases I've made. It might be subjective, but coming from a $40 commuter helmet I can notice an aero difference when I ride, and I especially notice the wind noise reduction. Not to mention it's a lot lighter than my other helmet. The adjustability is awesome, though it's tough to fit anything thicker than a lightweight skullcap underneath, so I do still use my cheaper helmet when it gets really cold. The strap is super comfortable and I don't get the skin irritation under my chin during the hot months that I would often get previously. We had a decent stretch of 90 degree days this summer, even a few in the triple-digits, and my head definitely stayed cooler than previous years with other helmets. Overall this is a winner for me!

Love this helmet! Light weight, vents extremely well, adjusts to fit a plethora of head shapes and it looks great. I love how bulk free the silhouette of this lid is - compared to say the POC or even the Giro Synthe, it almost disappears. It is a bit on the expensive side but give the quality of the materials used and the overall fit quality I would recommend this helmet to anyone.

Over the years i've used many top end helmets and this one seems to be the best.

This helmet is great for riding in the wind and listening to music on my Goal Zero bike stereo. Even with a stiff headwind, I'm able to keep the volume at a reasonable level. It seems a little heavier than the Gyro that it replaced, but is considerably more comfortable, so it's worth the very small sacrifice I'd say. This helmet also looks great, with a lower profile than most.
The warmest temperature I've used it in is 50F, so I'm looking forward to seeing how well it ventilates in the summer months. Previous reviews indicated that it's not an issue.
All-in-all, a great value.

Great helmet. I love the fit on these helmets. I've wrecked on two occasions, but the helmet did there job to protect my head.

Very comfortable and vents well. Doesnt look as mushroom as other helmets. Only downside is that Oakley glasses dont fit super behind the ears. They conflict with the fit system a bit.

Great fit. Easy adjustments with dial and tilt features. Interior foam and leather strap are comfy. Very light and aero. Cleans easily in shower.

I first bought a giro aether and returned it after trying it on a couple times. It felt like it sat over my head and the spherical mips felt too loose, like it would slide right out of the way with a crash. Could move the thing around with my hands easily, felt gimmicky. Parts felt cheap too. Got the protone and it is a solid, perfect fit. It sits around my head and is snug yet comfortable. I have a somewhat longer/skinny head. Strap and parts are much more robust and I like the leather chin deal. MIPS would be nice, but it feels great. Put in a good amount of miles, but no real tests.
