I have the roadie version as well and it's comfy so I snagged this one too. The meshy upper combined with the lace-up closure leaves a tad to be wanted in the support department but it's not too bad. I think its fine for a recreational gravel application and can make for quicker drying on the fly. The color is a bit bluer than the photo. Those dark dots are less noticeable and the hue is closer to Caribbean pastel than the wheat-fed slate slabs pictured. Better than black or white.

Got a stellar deal on these from BTD. They've been great for casual, scenic all-road type rides and I've also worn on some light singletrack. Very lightweight and great airflow in the heat. No they're not super stiff and not marketed as such, but they're still adequate to grab the occasional PR on local climbs. I don't feel that I'm giving up much in terms of performance and I usually do a ton of climbing on my rides. Heavily padded tongue does take up some volume when first trying on, but settles down after a couple wears. I ordered my normal Giro size. Oh yeah, Midnight blue looks the bomb.

These run a touch narrow but are extremely comfortable, light weight and have a solid sole. Ordered my usual size and had no troubles with fit.

Theses shoes are narrow, which is good for my feet. The insoles are well-padded, but the fabric is generally thin, which is good! They run small. I bought a 39, which are a little long for my feet; I normally (and reliably) wear a 38. Great low-tech buy for a cyclist.

These shoes are super comfortable. Too light for heavy gravel riding I think, but wonderful for casual rides in town.
