Good bike computer, I like that it gets brighter when I ride a dark trail but the normal display on a sunny day with dark sunglasses on is difficult for an experienced (67 years old) rider to see all of the values. Will remove some data and try larger fonts I guess. Overall good value, battery life and product performance.

I replaced an 820 and this is a huge step up - lower power GPS chip, much quicker user interface response, and better battery life. The user interface is totally different than the 820 and I still haven't figured it out, but I have a basic setup that works for my various bikes.

This is the best cycling computer I have used to date. The battery life is phenomenal. The boot time is faster than I can open Strava. I can upload my rides from zwift so it can calculate my training load. I used the edge 820 prior to this and the upgrade is well worth the price.

Upgraded from a 5+ year old model. Battery life and satellite acquisition is great, and maps have been useful when trying some new routes on the fly as well as doing some "asynchronous group rides" with planned routes. Garmin needs to work on the interface...too many buttons on the device and too many clicks to do the basics.

Bought this as I have a few different bikes & it makes mileage tracking easy as you just swap the computer from bike to bike. It has worked well for everything I've used it for: gps files for navigating & just general data. It's smaller than the 1030, so takes up less space on the handlebars, but has the 1030s functionality. Highly recommended.

Having had the 3 other Garmin's in the past 15yrs, The 830 is by far the best for the money spent.
I love the easy download and sync to my cell phone and the turn by turn directions.
Another big improvement was the battery life, being increased to well over 12hrs when you have setting dialed in for maximum battery savings.

I love all of the metrics you can get from the Edge 530. I especially like the detailed maps, turn notifications, nutrition/hydration alerts, and climbpro. The unit has a great screen that is easy read even in the bright sun. The user interface takes some getting used to. I also had trouble with routes I loaded constantly telling me to make a U-turn even though I know I am going right way.

My new Garmin Edge 520 Plus is my third Garmin device.
As far as I am concerned, Garmin is the only way to go. You can get any and all ride information that you could possibly imagine. And I download this direct to my Strava account. This is a great computer, and I strongly recommend it.

I upgraded from the edge 520 to the edge 530. A nicer unit with some upgraded features.
The setup is not very user friendly. Necessary to watch YouTube videos for instructions.

I mainly purchased this for navigational purposes, but also use it on local rides. Interface is user friendly and easy to get accustom to. Climb profile is a neat touch! Navigation has been pretty spot on. Happy with the purchase

Ordered this as an upgrade so I could track my interval workouts with better data. The touch screen is so nice, it makes using the unit so much more easier. Automatically uploads data to Strava so I can check out how I did verses my last ride on the route.

I've had a Garmin Edge 530 for a few years but passed that one on to my wife when her Edge 520 stopped holding a charge. I debated whether to go with the 830 but I'm happy with the choice after using it for a few weeks. The touch screen is easier to manage compared to the multiple buttons on the 530, and it has worked reasonably well in rain and during the last part of the winter with full finger gloves.

Upgraded from an old 500 series. Love this unit and got a fantastic price at BTD. Setup was fairly easy. Bluetooth is great to directly upload to my Garmin connect phone app.

I debated whether or not to go with the 830 touch screen. Very glad I did. Much easier to set up and navigate through the menu and set up. Well worth the extra cost.

I purchased this to replace a garmin 800 that died on me. This has more options than the 800. I appreciate it linking with my phone to show texts and emails. I'm still working to get courses and routs set up, but it gives warnings and turn information that is great. Still lots to learn, but am glad I purchased it.

Lots of improvement from 520. Quicker loading and connection. Longer battery life and auto reminders are great. Connects very well with my 2 powermeters, no more drops. I got my order on time. Thanks BTD.

Great upgrade over 520 while retaining a lot of the familiar button sequences you are already used to. Big time improvement in battery life. YUUUUGGGEE battery. It's very bigly. Biggest battery ever I'm told. Color display is crisp, size is right, not too big, not too small.

With my 8-year old Edge 520 showing its age (battery life, location accuracy, Bluetooth consistency), BTD's daily special could not have come at a better time! After several months' use, I am still really happy with the 530's expanded functionality, ease of use, and L-O-N-G battery life.

I had an old version for several years and the 530 is far superior is like day and night difference.
Display can be set up in many different ways, I don't have to wait for satellites to be found and at night the screen adjust itself too a cozy background.
I haven't fully discover all about it but so far I'm loving it, thanks Garmin.

I bought the Garmin 529 Plus on sale. My needs are pretty simple so I don't use much of the functionality the Garmin provides (e.g. heart rate, cadence, power, etc.). So far I am satisfied with the Garmin. It is hard to give a complete review at this point as lack experience with it.
