Conti seems to make the most dependable tube on the market. I have never had a bad one (which I cannot say for some of the competition). In addition to its durability, it is relatively light with a solid stem.

Sturdy, long lasting

My only complaint is that the valve stem is threaded, but that's fairly minor. It's a good tube which holds air for several days easily before needing to be pumped up.

These tubes hold air. But all tubes are only as good as the tires protecting them. Read my other review on Continental GatorSkins. There is no substitute. In Conti we trust.

Great tube with my rig once up and running; I find it a little fussy to install because of its lightness -- easy to catch the tube between the tire bead and rim; a bit of thought to have just the right bit of inflation to seat the tube properly.

Needed tires and tubes for my Vintage Schwinn road bike. Found good value and nice quality.

I had to switch to Continental from another brand of tube, Continental seems to have removable presta valves in the stems. Neither brand advertises a removable valve. What I do not like as much is that this tube has a shaft that is threaded, and the other was smooth. The smooth stem makes it much easier to fill the tube, which if you have 120 lbs tires you know you have to air up weekly. The other down side is that these tubes appear to be thinner. I put a new tube in and was airing it up and it exploded. I have to put slime in my tires because of the goat head thorns and even with a plastic tube guard the tubes still gets punctured. What I had to do is add slime to the tube, install it then air it SLOWLY, rotating the tube to allow the slime to disperse around the tire. Then I was fine. You have to squeeze the tire to make sure that the air is dispersing. If the tire does not feel the same all around you have to rotate it and allow the slime to flow down.

It's hard to get too excited about an inner tube. This one has a presta valve with a method of screwing it down to the rim, which I like. It makes inflation more stable. If you use a pump that screws to the valve, you have to be careful not to over tighten it, as you will unscrew the valve as well as the pump when disconnecting. Then you can start all over again! I imagine that would happen with any brand inner tube. Not extravagantly overpriced, It's always good to have a spare tube or two with you on a ride. I have confidence that Continental is not selling any duds to us dudes.

I have been using these tubes for the last few years and seldom had a flat unless the tires were well worn.
