I have raced and trained on these tires for many years and they enspire confidence. With average of about 3800 miles a year, I only get one flat per year. Great traction on both dry and wet surfaces.

Nice tire except the sidewall failed (tear) after only 1200 miles. No obvious cause - smooth road. Too bad - I liked it otherwise. Seems like it had goodlow rolling resistance on my kind of roads. Won't buy it again because of the failure.

I usually ride the Gatorskin's, but no more. This tire is around a 10 watt saving.

This has always been my go to tire. After riding the Gaterskin tire for the winter its even more of a pleasure to get back on the 4000S tires.

I decided to try these tires instead of the 4 Season. They handle better and are still very durable and puncture resistant.

Use on the front and rear road bike...best tire in all respects... maybe only drawback -- THE WEIGHT....

I have tried many tire brands over the years but in the end I always come back to the 4000 S. Rolls great and is far more puncture resistant than almost anything else I have tried except perhaps for Conti's Gatorskins

You cant go wrong with this Continental tire. It is one of the most durable tires on the market and it easily compares to the S-works cotton tire in speed

I got a new, carbon bike which came with Gatorskins.... good bullet-proof tires, but heavy. Seeking weight and rolling resistance advantage, I went with the Continental GP 4000 S IIs and have been loving them. Along the way, I also went with 25s (having ridden 23s since Jesus was a child) and am so glad I did!!! Maybe I'm getting old, but skinny tires and now a thing of the past for me. These tires are fast and smoother than a baby's bottom!

This tire has treated me very good thus far, feels very fast and has been solid (knock on wood).

Bought these to ride for the May bike more challenge to swap out my wider winter conti 4 season tires. They feel faster with less rolling resistance (28mm) and are lighter than the 32mm 4 season ms I ride during the winter but Ive experienced 3 flats during the month of May with 464 miles on them. The inside of the tire feels a bit rough (you can see the ridges if you turn the tire inside out) and I think they rub the tube quite a bit which have caused my flats. They arent pinch flats or true punctures but look like more frictionrub causing the flats. May put tireliners on or switch over to slimmer 4 seasons instead.

I have been using these tires on my road bike for the past 4 years. I love there durability, handling on turns, rolling efficiency, and overall quietness on my road rides. I will not attempt to use any other tire products. These tires are the only ones that will be on my bike.

I've been riding Conti Gatorskins and Hardshells for years. I've found the 4000 SII as a better all around tire. They still have excellent puncture protection with the benefit of better rolling resistance. Highly recommended

Put them on my wife's road bike....she is happy with the performance thus far. Early days.

I cycled 13,000 miles in 2017 and am on track for 11,440 miles in 2018. Fitness is my goal and I belong to two cycling clubs for weekly rides. I ride the GP 4000 tires in the dry season in Oregon, and the only downside is the propensity to flat and gash-out before the tread is worn down on the rear tire.

I got 3000 miles on these tires with no flats.

The tires are on a set of ENVE wheels. Regular road use. Great grip. I use the 4000 S tires on all my clincher wheels
