Continental is still the gold standard in cycling tires. I use them on all 4 of my bikes. Gatorskins on my commuter bike, 4 Seasons on my winter road bike and these on my race bikes. The ride quality is superb. The handling is excellent. These won't last as long as the Gatorskins or 4 Seasons but that would be true of any premium tire. Get them on sale and they become a good value.

These really are great tires, I now use these with latex tubes and my average speed has definitely increased - I'm still slow of course but I'll take any improvement I can get. The reflective strip is a nice touch too, now cars can undoubtedly see me from any angle. I have at least a few hundred miles on them and no flats even after accidentally riding through broken glass, there are small cuts on the tread but no flats so the puncture protection is good as well.

I researched tires before I bought these and they were the highest rated. They did not disappoint. Roll smooth and quick and are surprisingly durable.

This tire has become the go-to tire of all my cycling friends. It is fast and comfortable, lasts longer than most performance tires, and is relatively flat-resistant. Of course, this is a race tire, so it's not going to be as bullet proof as a beefy commuter tire. But as an all-around performer, it's hard to beat.

This is the third or fourth season using GP4000 versions of clinchers . They give a smooth roll, hold up to all road conditions, tread is durable. I have them on two different wheel sets. One for training on my tri bike and another climbing wheel set for hilly rides on my road bike.

Still in break in mode with these tyres, but I noticed the difference after just one ride!
Mounted and inflated, these tyres have a rounder profile than the Tendrils and that seems to make a world of difference. It is almost like riding on a tubular. They corner great, rolling resistance seems less I had previously, acceleration is measurably improved, and because of the rounder profile, shock transmission is lessened. They have not been on the bike long enough to really say if they are more flat resistant, but no problems . . . so far.
The folding bead fits mt Vision rims securely, yet I can could mount the tyre without and mechanical assist. I presume taking the tire off the rim will be just as simple. While classed as a racing tyre, I have no hesitation using these on a daily basis.
All around excellent choice and money well spent.

I switched from gatorskins a year ago and immediately felt the difference. They rolled much easier and felt lighter. Had a puncture cause I fell off my trainer so I had to go back to the gatorskin for a short time. I could really feel the difference. Not as smooth and didn't roll as well. Gatorskin is a great tire but the 4000 is far and above in my opinion. The price was great for the value. If you want a great rolling tire without breaking the bank buy these, you will love them.

These tires are very well made, run straight and hold up to abuse well. A great compromise of good handling and long-wearing

Pricey, but excellent speed tire. Good grip (I only ride on dry roads). Wife has 1500 miles on hers with one flat (staple). I have about 400 miles on mine, no flats slight wear. As good as my other top tire - Schwalbe One.

This is my second set of these tires and I have yet to have a flat.
They wear like steel but still have a comfortable ride.
Prior to these I was riding Michelin Pro 3s and constantly dealing with flat tires.
I highly recommend these Continental 4000 S ll.

These tires are awesome! Super durable, yet fast and keep you upright while navigating corners.

As a group, we have been putting 10's of thousands kilometers on these tires. A sure bet every season!... Can't wait to try them in 25mm.
Great grip, great feeling and they are light enough. And BIketiresdirect always have a great price on them!

These 25mm GP4K II's are the best clincher I've ever ridden. I weigh about 160lbs, and I've ran them as low as 72psi for the smoothest ride you can imagine (on a Trek Emonda with Enve 7.8's). They do make the bike steer a bit quicker, but after a few rides you adapt to it.

Have trusted this tire for commuting and training rides for several years. Flat resistant in urban environments and on thorny desert roads in Southern Utah. Low rolling resistance for such a durable tire.

I've been riding these for a couple of months now and I'm very happy with them. I'd been riding 23s from Vredestein for many years, so these are my first Conti tires and my first time buying 25s. Our roads in PA can be a little rough so I am enjoying the little bit higher volume tire and the overall ride quality. The reflective strip is a nice touch that really does catch the eye but I miss having some color on my tires. That is probably the only regret I have about these so far. If you want a high-quality, high-performance tire that delivers a nice ride as well as good durability, I don't think you can go wrong with this one.

I picked these up for my triathlon bike, which was in pretty desperate need of new tires. The brain trust at Slowtwitch raves about these tires, and I don't know jack about equipment, so I followed the crowd. To my novice eye (been cycling about 2 years), these are a big step up from what I had previously. The handling is really smooth. I live in the country (sort of), and roads are rough. These tires have held up nicely. I'm really happy with the purchase.
Again, relying on Slowtwitch, I got the impression the price could have been a bit better. I did get them on sale at BTD, and they were still a very good price. I would definitely buy these tires again, and from BTD.

Good rolling tire . Had two flats in one day of which surprised me. I run these on two different road bikes with no problems until one particular day. Good wearing tire.
I'll buy again

I am very happy with these tires' durability, combined with performance. They corner extremely well, even at race speeds, and even in the rain. Being 23mm wide, the size I bought provide a minimum of rolling resistance, and they're fairly light as well, while still having the Vectran breaker belt and other layers of protection against glass, etc. I have even had these tires on singletrack for a short distance (a runwalk was taking up the bike path at that point) with no issue.

A switch from 25C from 23C tires has been one of the best changes i have made on my bike since new wheels. Running so much less air in the 25s, they seem to just suck up the standard road rattle.
Continental tires come highly recommended to me by a of friends as a durable, long wearing tire. I haven't really found them to be that flat resistant and in fact i cut one tire beyond use with less than 300 miles on it. I HIGHLY recommend that you buy these tires on line and not at your LBS. I paid $66 bucks for a pair of these at Bike Tires Direct and when I replaced my cut tire at LBS i paid like 78 bucks for one! OUCH!
