Have been running GP 4000S for a long time. They have a very long life span and hold up great to our multi-condition type days. I always recommend them to people!

Thought I was crazy. Replaced a pair of Specialized roubaix 70028 with the Conti 70028 and the tire was rubbing slightly both front and back. The continentals measured 32 wide and the specialized measured 28 wide. The tire was printed with 70028. At least it looked and felt good on the bike stand.

The Continental 4000 is lightweight, smooth running, flat resistant. I run them on both my main bike and my rain bike.

Unfortunately I bought four of these, they were on sale, had good reviews, I 've had success with Conti's in the past.
First tire (on the rear) made it through a century , and about another 150 or so total training miles. I flatted at the very end of the ride, right by my truck, so no biggie took it home and changed it there.
After the normal routine of looking for the object that caused the flat, running finger through tire and wheel nothing was obvious. Put another tube in started pumping, I see sliver of tube coming out of small slit at the seam of the tire casing. Very small opening in tire it was beginning to separate. Although disappointed at the failure on such low mileage figured it just was bad luck.
Put on the other tire I had, less than 50 miles, on freshly paved trail, instant flat. Initially could not see the cause, upon closer inspection, yup, separating on the sidewall again.
Never again, fortunately didn't get hurt as both times it was rear tire.

A lightweight tire, good road feel, great traction wet or dry, awesome puncture resistance. The reflective strip in the sidewall really helps at night. Continental a German reliable brand that's been in business for a while and has the know how. My go to tire for a while now ....

After a stretch of going through 3 sets of tubeless in less than 3 months, I went back to clinchers and was looking for a decent rolling tire that would give me some puncture protection. Settled in these tires but got a sidewall rip in a tire the first week I had them on. Was riding in south Florida too so it isnt like Im going through potholes. Ok tire but dont know I Id buy again.

My go to road tire for the last 4 years. Smooth durable. Typically last 2000 miles. However, on my new Enve 3.4 SES disc wheels, the tires are very difficult to mount, compared to my Zipp 202s 303s non-disc, which are super easy to get on. I'll be trying some other brands to ease the pain.

CONTI TIRES ARE THE BEST ON THE MARKET

This is the first time using Continental Tires after using Michelin tires and so far they seem fine. The rolling resistance is definitely better without affecting handling. I only have a couple hundred miles on them so far.

My favorite road tire for a decade. Improved tread material. They have a very supple feel compared to other brands without sacrificing rolling resistance or speed. The roads in our area are the worst. The tires hold up very well to the terrible alligatoring and pot holes. I ride 25mm.

It doesn't get any better than these tires...the gum wall sides look really good too. -) I only wish Continental made these for tubeless rims.

I have over 14,000 miles on these tires, not the same set of course, but I do get about 4-5K miles out of a set. Strong, grippy (wet and dry), durable.... What else can you ask from a tire? I train with them and also race with them. I also like the high thread count in the casing which makes it a comfortable riding tire. Not as nice as the best sew-ups but for a clincher it's really nice.

These tires are not only fast in terms of rolling resistance, but they're very grippy for cornering. You can feel it and hear it when you're doing a corner right, and it's lots of fun. Great tires, they just feel good.

Great tire. Ive been using Grand Prix 4000 for years. Good feel for a clincher. High list price but discounts can be found. Only concern is the side wall. Most tired I replace are due to sidewall cuts.

The Continental GP4000s delivers, it can be more expensive than other tires but you get what you pay for.
I highly recommend it and Bikestiresdirect has the best prices and service.

These tires are so puncture proof ! I absolutely love them. I rode 5,000 miles last year without a flat! I ride with other people and they are always getting a flat and I have turned them all onto these tires now!! I buy a few extra whenever BikeTIresDirect has a sale so I always have a spare.

Conti GP4000s are known for their low rolling resistance, and my own personal spin-down tests on my training rollers confirm this. The supple sidewalls come with a price, however-they are a little more prone to punctures if you accidentally drop your bike into a pavement crack and snag the sidewall. Easy to do in bad lighting conditions. That's where the reflective version comes in. The reflective strip provides a little more sidewall protection and helps cars see you in the dark. They are very handy on bike tours when you have to negotiate your way back to your tent at night using a headlamp-you just have to look for those big bright double circles.
