The only FLAT-ulence you'll experience while riding with this tire is going to come from you or other cyclists. One of the most reliable tires available, from a cyclist who rides over 5K miles per year in the Northeast.

very good performance on rough roads 2000 miles on the tires and they are holding up well

We have ridden Gatorskins and tried the Hardshell for winter riding
This tires are more responsive than the Gatorskins and have held up great
We have done several 3 and 4 day events with no problems.
These are mounted on Rolf's wheels on. Tandem.

I'm not racing anymore (at age 66), but still put in regular road miles and want dependable, safe tires when I ride. I've been using Continental Grand Prix 4 Seasons for several years and have been completely satisfied with them. They are a little pricier than other tires, but for me the extra bucks are worth it.

The Continental Grand Prix 4-Seasons work well, but understand that they are a little softer than the Gatorskins, so they are more prone to being damaged by road debris. The ride quality is solid. They are more expensive than the Gatorskins, but are an overall solid tire that could be used for club racing and the like. The tires wear a little faster than Gatorskins, but they are more supple as well. If you are looking for a training and racing tire, this would do the job very well.

Great tire. All pupose and training. Feels like hand made like a good tubular. Easy to install, rides supple, corners great. Lasts and lasts in all kinds of weather and conditions. The only tire that is as good as this but lighter and faster is the Conti 4000 & 4000s.

These are really great tires. I rode a pair of 23c on one bike for a year and got 25c for my new bike after a sidewall flat with some really beautiful Vittorias. Thus far, the only flat I've had came from hitting a shaded pot hole at 20 MPH. I also put a pair on my wife's bike because I trust these tires enough to send her out on the Texas roads with them. The 25c tires, by the way, are the easiest to mount tires I've had. With the discounted price offered by BTD, it's hard to go wrong with these.

I've only had these tires for a few months and I'm just a recreational rider, but I'm already sold on them. Winding descents are my favorite and these tires stick. I feel safe and comfortable pushing them at higher speeds. Often I've ridden through broken bottles and glass on the road without any problems. Although they cost a bit more than others in their class it's worth the expense. Skimping on tires is not the place. The jury still out on their longevity, but if they hold up, the Grand Prix 4 Season is the tire for me... Can't wait for winter.

I ride on a lot of dirt roads in VT and NH, roads with sharps rocks that I'm hitting at 30 mph. After about 1,000 miles, the tires are holding up well. Just one flat. No significant tire cuts or slashes.
On pavement, the tires have a soft feel and corner well.

I've been using these tires for years and have always had very good results. I have them on my road bike as well as my girlfriends and I also have them on my tandem. They run great. I get great mileage and performance. I would highly recommend them.

Used on a 200 mile ride with 35 miles of dirt roads. No flats. 28 mm tire runs a little narrower and used it easily on a trek madone

I ride in Colorado, up and over a lot of mountainous terrain as well as on rough road surfaces. The tires are solid so far. The feel of the tire is quite good, but obviously is not like a high-end tubular, for clinchers, this is a quality tire with a quality ride. I cannot speak to durability because I have ridden less than a 1,000 miles on them. That said, the tires have little visible wear on them at 1,000 miles, and most sets of tires last me about 3,000 miles before I must replace them (N.B., mountain terrain and rough roads are hard on tires). I would buy these again, and I would recommend them as an excellent training tire which could be used for club races and the like, if desired. A further benefit is that I mounted these on Mavic Ksyrium rims with just my fingers. I did not need any tire tools. That is a great benefit, especially out on a cold ride if one did incur a puncture. Lastly, I use the 25mm tires, which provide an excellent ride at 100 to 110 psi. I weigh around 150-155 lbs and am 5'8, for comparison purposes. The only downside is expense, but I buy them on sale, which occurs rather frequently on Bike Tires Direct.

i have been using this tire for daily rides for the last two months. I like the tire on the very rough roads in my area. I have switched my wife's bike to these tires also. The tires may be a bit more expensive but so far no problems and that is worth every penny.

Using this product for fitness and training on my road bike. Three to four 35 mile rides a week. So far no problems with tires, nice ride. Would like to try the 4000S tires from Conti also.

This tire will get you home. I recently hit something that shredded the tire across the width and it didn't flat. Amazing! The tire works well as a fast training tire which is comfortable and relatively fast and exceptionally durable. I seriously don't expect to ever flat while riding these.

I'll add my praise for these tires to the long list. I've been riding them daily for 4 months now and can't get enough of them. I use my bike for daily commuting, recreational riding, and some short touring. I searched for a long time before finding the perfect balance of light weight and durability in these tires. They're not bomb-proof (I've had 1 flat from a shard of class in some 2000 miles of mainly urban riding) but weight significantly less than the heavy puncture resistant tires. I'm not one to shave weight at any cost, but considering the extra force of starting and stopping tires, they're worth the cost for the sporty feel. They're grippy and everything I've heard about them is that they last FOREVER.

I almost decided not to write a review because it didn't seem like I had much to add to the existing reviews for this product. But then I remembered that I always read all the reviews and tend to rely on the consensus opinion. So here goes. I really like these tires for their durability and puncture resistance. I'm 65, live in Sacramento , Calif.(read star thistle and puncture vine), and ride 4-5 thousnd miles a year. I previously rode on Specialized Armidillos, but have found the Continental lighter and better handling while being eqivalent in puncture resistance. Plus, I'm pretty sure they make me younger and better looking....

I'v tried many road bike tire brands, but none perform like the Continental Grand Prixs. I have no problems with cuts, and rarely flat with these tires. I usually change tires around 3k miles, but a few years ago I put over 5k on a set, and the front tire had never flated.
