As advertised, a high quality winter performance tire that is ideal for training in wet climates. I have trained on this tire for the past several winters in Seattle. Grips the road well, but the softer surface compound means the tire is more likely to pick up stuff that will gradually work its way into the tire (glass bits, etc). But, that is always the trade off with a tire like this. Just check the tires beforeafter rides and you will get good life out of them.

I'm a Clydesdale (6'4 - 220 lbs.). When I hit a pothole at 20 mph, it knows it's been hit. I ride 6K - 7K miles each year. Nary a flat on my 1st pair of GP4S after 3K miles. If you value your riding time, don't flinch at the price.

Great tire. Wears extremely well and handles fantastic in wet weather. I have almost 3000 miles on this set and would expect to get another 1000 out of them. No flats at all. I love the tire for that fact. As long as I use standard weight tubes with these tires, a flat free year is ahead of me which is worth every penny for these pricey tires. One thing to note, it's a good idea to rotate the tires every 1500 miles. My nose is always over the handle bar admiring the light wear on the front. One day at around 2000 miles I finally saw the rear tire with much more wear. Even after the rotation, still no flats.

They are a bit pricey but seem to be worth it. Handling and cornering is great. I can't comment yet on handling in wet weather because the PNW has not had rain for over 2 months now.

This tire is perfect. It lasts and last, yet is smooth and supple, and provides a great ride wet or dry. I love this tire.

The only road tire I trust. They last longer than other tires and as long as they are not worn, flats are super rare. A great training tire for sure.

The Conti 4-Season is a great all season training tire and one I have been using for years. Can't remember the last time I got a flat. I see a lot more cyclists these days riding them. It has great rolling resistance and gives you that confidence one needs when riding on the road. As for the negatives the tire is pricey and tends to wear quickly. I put in 5000 plus miles a year and will easily go through two sets of tires.

After 1700 miles of training, I rode across the U.S. (L.A. to Boston - 3400 miles) on a pair of these tires and still had good tread left. They are tough tires, even better than the competition, such as, Gator Skins.

I have used this tire in the past and got around 3000 miles before replacing them. I tried several other Continental tires, but have recently come back to this one. It will be my tire of choice from now on. It's great in all weather conditions and provides me the confidence I need on the road. I have not noticed any decrease in my MPH with the additional tread. It's a great value for the money and the mileage.

When you're on the road alot you really need something you can depend on like the grand prix 4-season. These tires have taken abuse from potholes, cattle guards, dirt roads and gravel and no flats or problems whatsoever. Other tires I've used in the past were pretty tough as well but usually gave into some object on the road. These tires were a bit expensive, but worth their weight in gold since they're dependable and hug the road very well. I'm sold , )

This sure was a pain to put on the wheels, but now that these tires are on, they seem great. I encounter a lot of gravel, broken plastic, and other road debris during my commutes, and they've stood up to all this so far (knock on wood!).

I find these tires to be the most reliable I've ever used on my road bikes. I ride on a lot of oilchip roads and flat out frequently until I put these tires on my new Pinarello. They are the most reliable road tires around.

This is a great tire. I use them on my Tandem. I have a 10yr old Stokid and I weigh about 170. Total weight on the tires is around 265lbs. I use the 700x28c. These roll very well, especially for a tire that is this tough. I have had no flats this season so far (1700 miles) The rear tire is showing some wear but I think it will make it through the season. Keep in mind that this is on a Tandem. Last year I tried the Gatorskins (German made ones) and had several flats and they only lasted around 1200 miles before they were completely done.
They are a bit pricey, but if you catch them on sale they are definitely worth it. I wouldn't race in them or anything, but they are a top notch trainercommuter.

I commute to work about 5 miles round trip. In addition, I ride after work and weekends when I can. So far put about 100 miles on these and they are great. Handle well and no visible signs of wear. I like the extra tread on them.
Very well made tire. My last Continentals lasted about 3000 miles, so I hope to get the same out of these.

I am running this tire in a 700C28 on a Co-Motion Tandem and it rides very smoothly. It grips the road on curves, and feels secure on wet pavement. I have run these in a 700C23 on single bikes with excellent results as well. They wear very well on singles so I am expecting similar results although slightly faster wear on the tandem. This doesn't detract from the quality or value because I like to replace the tandem tires before wear becomes even the slightest concern! When the rear tire shows wear, I move the front to the rear and put a new one on the front.

Nice compact tire for all types of use. Tire is very resilient. I hit a small rock and had the tube blown but no damage to the tire.
It feels solid and well built.

This tire is durable. Rolls well and provides sense of security to the added stress of a tandem.

I ride anywhere between 30 to 50 miles three times a week. I average about 3000 miles a year. I am on my second set of Continental Grand Prix 4-Season tires and I am greatly satisfied with their endurance. You can go for miles and miles without any flats. These tires last forever, they're great. They are the best I have ever used.

I always use it on multi-day trips in the mountains in Europe. Holds well in the wet. I used it for a week in the Dolomites under various conditions and never had a flat . In fact, I've never had a flat while traveling with these tires. I used it on the Eroica in Italy-dirt roads, no flats. It descends as well as the Conti 4000. Also, long-lasting-easily over 3-4000 miles. Highly recommended.
