Great tire for the money.

These are tough as they come and super grippy. If you are an endurance cyclist these are the tires for you. Not as hard or heavy as the Gators but just as puncture resistant.
I have them on 4 bikes.

Great tires, no flats, no complaints

I've put about 500 miles on a pair of these, mostly on bike paths but with some city riding mixed in. No punctures, and quite pleased with their performance thus far. They seem durablenot much visible wear at this point. They roll fast enough for me, but I'm pretty new to the sport.

I've been riding on Continental Grand Prix tires for over a decade. Can't remember how I found them, but Im glad I did. Glad I found biketiresdirect, too, because I hate spending more than I have to for anything I buy. My road bike is my pride and joy. When I had to end my half marathon running habit at 62 due to medical problems, my biking remained my main escape. I ride a 40 mile, very hilly swoopy loop a couple of times per week. I don't care what tires I run on the climbs, but my descents scare me to death. At 65, my heal time is going to be forever if I crash during a 45 mph downhill. I run the best tires I can, not to mention the best brakes, etc. Beyond the safety factor, I like the handling, lightness, and durability of these tires. I ride urban roads with lots of debris and hardly ever flat. Want a great tire, try the Continental Grand Prix 4-Season with Vectran.

I am a year round commuter and do a little racing in the summer.
These are my go to tire.
Durable enough for everyday commuting.
Work great when I an out training or doing a weekly training race.
Great value.

Bought these for 2 of my bikes and they have been really good tires. Plenty of grip in wet weather. I feel safe on them.

I love these tires. They ride really well, are very puncture resistant, especially to glass fragments, and have reasonable tread life. I use them year round on all my bikes including my rain bike. Good traction too!

Took me some time to get used to the grip of the tires, but you can cruise at high speeds and feel very comfortable on the bike. Great for riding at lower pressure.

The GP 4-Season is one of our all time favorite tires. We use them on our wet season hybridfitness bikes, as well as our summer road bikes - mainly on recreational club rides. They really do work well in all conditions, and have a nice ride quality. Not as fast as a racing tire, but faster than any commuter tire. In terms of Continental's model line it has more flat protection and better wet weather traction than the GP 4000 model, but is lighter and has a more supple ride than Gatorskins. It seems to fall in between those two models and as such is a very good compromise. They're not the cheapest tires out there, but the cost is not outrageous either. Why skimp on tires after all? Highly recommended.

I had over 3,000 mile on my set and replaced them even though they showed little wear. These ride the same as the Grand Prix 4000sII Tires but have much better resistance against getting flats. I kept getting sidewall failures with the 4000 Tires and gave up on them. If you want to ride worry free of getting flats get these tires and I also install Mr. Toughy tire liners and put Stans Sealant into the tubes for added protection. Getting flats sucks. Just a note, if you are putting sealant into your tubes make sure you install the valves properly and use a pump that as a ABS (Air Bleed System) button to release the back pressure before removing the nozzle otherwise your Presta valve may get removed when taking off the air pump nozzle. I learned this the hard way. What a mess!
