I live in Seattle where the weather can be dry, wet, slippery, severe cold (seldom) and gritty roads. I hate flats so I use a heavier tire on the road as a preventative. I am a USA Cycling Coach as well as train and race. These are not race tires at all yet you can't beat them for all season training tires. I ride roughly 8-10 hrs per week and I get approximately 2-3 flats per year with these.
I've been told to get other tires and put in inserts, etc yet I say action speaks louder than words. If it works don't fix it. I use my 4 seasons as a great all weather training tire and always have a back up on hand.

I use these tires come the end of the summer riding season when the weather and roads can get a little wet. I used to ride them year long, but went to the 4000's in the summer when I was riding bigger rides and wanting to place well in them. That being said, I don't know if the extra couple of grams really makes that much of a difference between the 4000's and the 4 seasons.
I really like that the sidewalls seem beefier than the 4000s and, though not immune to flats, I think I flat less with these. They are expensive, but as many here will say, Bike Tires often sells them for a reasonable price. That's when I pick them up. And yeah, I did pick up another pair of 4000s for next summer just because the price here was so good a few weeks ago.
Traction can't be beat either, IMHO.

I use these tires on my supported touring bike (aluminum Trek with small rear trunkpaniers), and on my racy bike (carbon fiber Bianchi) when riding out-of-town centuries. Haven't ever had a flat with these (knock wood) and they ride and handle very comfortably. Very stable in the wet, also. Excellent wear characteristics. They aren't particularly cheap, but they are a very good bargain overall.

I'm a big fan of this tire, having tried michelins, vredesteins, and a couple of other conti varieties. This tire hits the sweet spot for me of grip, puncture resistance, and longevity. I think I got over 3000 miles off the past pair, but that was probably not the smartest thing I've ever done. By the time I crossed 2500 the rubber was starting to feel less grippy to the point that I ordered replacements. They also go on sale often enough that you can protect yourself from the sticker shock by buying ahead.
No tire is puncture proof, but these do as good a job as you could ask for.

Pretty fast, pretty light, pretty flat resistant, lasts a long time. My other bike has Conti Grand Prix 25c, but on this bike the 4-seasons never feel slow. Great tire.

Incredible tires!
After almost 6,000 of near-daily 4-season abuse I finally tore a few chunks out one of these tires (28c). It's mate is still going strong on my front tire. 2 flats for the pair in this time. This is all on a steel frame touring bike with an average of 200-220 lbs of rider and gear (this is my all-around don't-own-a-car bike...bike camping, short tours, errands with a BOB trailer and/or racks, you name it).
They're light and therefore significantly more fun and comfortable to ride than heavier commuter tires. I'm no weight weenie but the spinning weight of a rim/tire makes a huge difference compared to something just carried on the bike (like beer...belly or bottled). I recently caught a pot hole with the tires running somewhat low (50-ish psi). Dented both rims but didn't get a pinch flat.
While they're more expensive than many tires their durability is famous and the ride is totally worth it in my opinion. biketiresdirect has had great sales on them recently too, which makes it a no brainer. I just bought a second pair for my road bike and am planning to ride the one remaining tire from my old pair into the ground to see how long it will last.

I got these for my winter road bike. It's used for a five mile commute year round and also for fast club rides. The tires have performed admirably in the few months I've had them. They don't feel like they have the same absolute limits as my GP4000S on my summer bike, but darn close, and I love the fact that they're using Vectran belts, since I've had a great experience with Vectran using Schwalbe Marathon Supremes in the past. Mounting was easy enough and they're nice looking tires.
The one thing that would make these perfect as a winter tire is a reflective strip on the sidewall, a la Schwalbe. Otherwise it has all the makings of a great tire.

Used to run Gator Skins and was happy with them but these grip noticeably better especially in wet conditions.
They are pricey tires but BTD are stellar and make them well worth the money.

I bought these tires last spring after having tons of flats with my regular tires. I've ridden over 2000 hard miles and I've never had a flat with these tires! They ride well for a training tire and would probably work OK for racing. The tread on my rear wheel is pretty worn so I know I'm going to have to replace it soon. I have already bought another set for when that day comes. These tires are a bit pricey but when you consider how long they last and the reduced number of flats you are likely to get, these are a great value.

Good but not great

These are great tires. I buy them every year in the off-season sales. High performing and durable tires. Even in the times you ride them down to the threads they get you home. OK, the tires and a dollar bill as a boot. New Continental 4 Seasons are a safe bet starting any grand randonee.

I was a regular gator skin user until I tried the grand prix-four seasons tire. More grip than the gator skin with not too much more drag due to extra tread. Awesome, smooth riding, quality Continental tire that is extremely durable. Definitely will be my go to tire moving forward. Always was and will remain a Conti tire guy. Love the quality.

I ride (road bike) between 8,000 and 10,000 miles a year, in all conditions. I have found that if I maintain a correct tyre pressure I will get up to 2500 miles on a rear tyre and possibly 3000 on the front. The grip is great and my confidence in the performance of the tyre is high. Like all tyres, there will be punctures and gashes, however the Continental has far out performed other brands I have used.
Frankly, after 50 years of cycling, 5 years competitive racing, and rides throughout Europe and California I would prefer to have the Continentals on my machine. IMO they are not the least expensive tyre out there but they are the best value.

These tires are a major upgrade from a previous model. They grip the road with ease and handle uneven surfaces.

Great set of tires. I just got the second set, a few months back. The first set last me little over 10,000 miles with 2 flats. I run it every day to work 20 miles around trip

I use this tire on both my bikes and rarely have a flat. Great mileage as well!

Tough but light weight and pliable, Conti 4 Season are perfect for rough urban riding. Broken pavement, potholes, rocks, trash, construction sites, you can bike through just about anything without getting a flat on these Conti 4 Season.
