I waited until I put 975 miles on these tires to say anything. They feel good and I have never had a flat. Some of the roads I ride on are pretty rough. I recommend these tires very much. I haven't noticed any sort of speed problem with them.

Bought these for my daughter's bike an old 19 Grand Prix after she finished college. She has ridden this bike in town for the better part of a year rain or shine. No problems what so ever with these tires and she likes the comfortable ride. I also bought her a patch kit and tire levers but the tires will probably wear out before they get a puncture. Great tires for the price and if you have an older bike with 27 wheels give these a try before buying 700C wheels and tires.

I was doing a rebuild on a bike and previously had a Cheap tire. I had a blow out, not only the tube but the cheap tire blew also, so I decided I wanted a higher quality tire. Continental tire 'Gator Skin' did a very good job. it is a very high quality tire.

I love these tires, I ride in Houston and have never had a flat yet, I have worn them out and never had a flat, for the money and the good ride I will buy these 27 tires as long as they keep making them. I ride about 1,000 miles a month on all kinds of roads, they handle great and look pretty decent, you will like them if you try them!!

I bought this for my bike-about-town, the gatorskin is really tough, and I don't doubt that it will last me a long time. It feels great and rides smoothly. Much better than the average tire.

I replaced my 1" tires that were starting to fray on the sidewalls with these 1 14" ones because I couldn't find a good one inch option for a 27" rim. These tires feel huge to me. I'm no longer scared to ride through patches of grass or gravel and the ride is very smooth on these bad boys at about 100 PSI. But it feels somewhat sluggish on the pavement. I've only put 20 miles on them so far and they seem like good tires but they won't win any races. I gave them five stars because they seem like the best tires available for an older 27" bike but it would be nice if they had a 1" folding option.
I'd just hate to pay 2k for a new road bike just so I can use better tires and I love my old Cannondale.

For a comfortable tire, it's light. Big volume is nice for all the pavement cracks and seams where I live, and rough roads around Los Angeles abound. But it's also light and lively. Width is supposed to be 32, but it's actually more like 30. That's okay, it's as comfortable as my Schwalbe Marathons, but as light as my Panaracer Tour Guards, and feels better than either one.
