I use these on my SSCX bike for rides on trails, fire roads, and commutes to work. Inflated to about 55lbs they give a smooth and supple ride off road. The mild tread grabs the dry loose packed dirt and gravel well, allowing cornering at speed. Inflated a bit more to 65 lbs they work great when riding the tarmac for work commutes. So far there's just over 300 miles on this set with average wear. As usual the rear has worn more than the front so theyy will be rotated soon. I fully expect the set to last until late fall with about 1200 miles on them.

Race and commute in rainy Seattle area. Nice tread for sanded gravely roads for winter commuting and work surprisingly well on dirt for the small shallow tread. Hundreds of miles so far and the x checks on the tiny nobs are still there, i.e. the tread has not worn much at all for all the road miles put on them. VERY happy with the tread life. Ride quality is smooth, fast and corners well. Used on 1 early season dry cross race, great on hard packed dirt, super fast on paved sections and OK on the grass. Great tire, great price for the mileage I expect to get from them.

I replaced the Continental Mountain Kings on my 29er with these to ride the bike trails and city streets in the New Orleans area, I guess they qualify as streets. I am impressed, not cheap, but you get what you pay for, the are smooth, comfortable, exceptional fast, and do dirt and gravel roads great with plenty of traction for climbing on our levi's around here. A completely satisfying purchase.

I've used these in two Gran Fondos with a mix of paved roads and gravel and they handle great. They are really easy to mount and seem to be holding up well after around 500 miles.

I used the Conti CX Speed tire in the inaugural 2013 Jowler Creek Winery Gravelicious Gravel Grinder, and in the months leading up to the event while we trained on Gravel World's gravel roads in and around Lincoln, NE. The tires ride like a dream at 50 psi, and I never suffered a flat or a hiccup. I plan on putting the 700x32 on my gf's Bianchi Zurigo for gravel and trails too.

The Conti Cyclocross Speed is the best tire I have found for a mix of dirt and paved roads, as exemplified by D2R2. Good grip on the dirt, traction when leaning into a curve on both dirt and pavement, while coasting with good road tires. Handles muddy and slick conditions better than smooth tires. At 170 lbs, I do have to run the rear tire at 60 psi to avoid pinch flats. Would LOVE to have it in a 40 mm width!

I use a cross bike as my winter bike, mostly on road. I pulled off the road tires to do a gravel road ride. I was surprised how well these rolled both on road and on gravel.

I use this for mid-week training both on and off-road and on the trainer. It works surprisingly well with my Kurt Kinetics trainer and rolls quite fast on the road.
