Like all gloves, when it is cold and windy, they feel a little cold to start out. Especially the pinky. Once you get cycling and your body heats up, they are very warm. The glove has material to wipe your nose, and the zipper, unique to this glove, works well Similarly, like most winter gloves, if your hands get overheated they will not just slip- but on nothing terrible. They fit true to size but it will still accommodate a thin liner, when necessary. Below 32', I switch to battery operated heat gloves.

Warm to low 30's F. Good fit. Long zippered cuff works well but may not fit over your sports watch if it's large like my Garmin Fenix 8 55mm watch. These kept my hands warm and dry for a 3 hour ride in the 30's to low 40's F. In fact, when in the upper 40'sF my hands were almost too warm when riding Zone 3 or above. When riding in light to medium rain, these kept my hands dry and warm for the hour it rained on my one recent ride that was wet. My old Pearl Izumi's would soak through in less than 30 mins of heavy rain and these performed much better. I have not had the chance to do extended rides in heavy rain, but they will probably be at least as good as other GoreTex gloves. I like that these are not as bulky as my old Pearl Izumi gloves, but are definitely warmer. They also fit better. I got these on sale for $78 and well worth it IMO. I took one star off for lack of touchscreen compatibility, but with thick-ish winter gloves, this seems less useful anyways. Recommended.

I read a lot of winter glove reviews. Knowing the quality of Castelli, minimal material with maximum warmth, I bought the Espresso GT gloves. What I found, and please keep in mind where you are and where reviewers are, these gloves are great in the 40s and down into the high 30s all day long. I was comfortable down to 37 degrees. Below that my finger tips know it is cold and I am OK for a few hours of riding in these gloves. The pluses are 5 finger dexterity with not much bulk (I have some very puffy bulky lobster finger gloves with liners that are way inferior to these) and Castelli knows how to pack max efficiency into a thin material (gloves and tights); additionally the waterproofing is outstanding while the fuzzy interior does not get sweaty. I was able to take my gloves off at times and get them back on with ease. As far as location of the reviewer: If you live and ride in So Cal your temp acclimation will be way different than a cyclist in Minnesota. So the stated temp ratings are relative to what they, and you are acclimated to. I live and ride in the PNW (Seattle area) so mild winter temps (mid to high 30s) and plenty of wet. Great gloves for my temps and precipitation. Totally worth the price, on sale... a no brainer!

One of my favorite things about Castelli winter line is their temperature range rating for each product. These gloves have fantastic coverage down to 25 degrees (f).
I've taken to wearing them off the bike as well.
Note: fingers are not touch screen compliant, so the zipper entry is key to them being easy to use.

So many gloves purchased, so many returned. These are the only gloves that worked for me in the mid to lower 30' area were battery operated gloves, which are extraordinarily helpful but very bulky. So far I've done two rides with them. Daytime, 3 1/2 hours 18.7 mph, sunny, 33', windchill 22'. Last night, a gravel ride, nighttime, 23 miles, 2000 feet of climbing, 2 hours, 15 minutes, 14 miles an hour 31', windchill 18'.
The first five-10 minutes of both ride, my fingers were a little cold, but not unbearable. I put in a very light glove liner. However, after 30 minutes, the liners came off. I just use the glove and they were not even zippered at the top.
Y the wind proofing is top-notch. Yes, the gloves got moist inside, but my hands never felt clammy or cold. I can't explain why. They just didn't. Yes, I am raving about these gloves. They are just that good.

These are a nice glove for really cold and wet conditions. Warm, fairly breathable, and nice fit for my hands. Fabric was softer than expected and the interior is nice and soft as well.
My only gripes are there is no touchscreen compatibility (you have to be kidding on a $120 cycling glove where every one of your consumers has a touchscreen on their phone or Garmin?), and the zipper is fairly difficult to operate when you're wearing the gloves- the fabric is very soft and it just tends to bunch up instead of unzip.
I ordered some e-tip stickers from Amazon to fix the first issue, the second I just need to accept and deal with.
Overall good glove, a next gen that fixes those issues would be really great and worth five stars.

Very warm for mid 30's, warm enough to keep going at freezing and not too hot to upper 40's. Great water proofing. I live in the PNW and it rains a lot.

I've used them down to 35F, in snow and rain. Although colder than 35F, I was quite uncomfortable. Stayed dry in rain and snow. The zipper works, but I'm not sure why it's there, as the give is pretty tight when zip is open. I can slip it off and on easily to work my phone. Would be great Nordic skiing too, and the zipper would have a function, keeping the glove on while poling. Palm material is grippy, even when wet. Seems are well sewed, should last a year or two.

My Castelli Corsa winter gloves never really fit me well which probably contributed to my cold hands. Riding thru the upper mid-west winters, I needed a glove that would work down into the upper 30's and fit better (colder than that and I switch to my lobster claws). After comparing all the choices, I went with the Castelli Espresso GT. They fit much better and are definitely warmer. I like the zipper closure and have had only minimal issues zipping them closed. Once closed they feel very secure with no cold air ingress noted. Would buy again.

Most of my rides start at 9:00 AM as long as the temperature is 35 and up and sunny or 40 and cloudy. I'm an older rider and keeping my hands warm is necessary. These gloves supplemented with a liner handles my needs well. At about 45 the liners have to come out and at about 50 they start getting too warm and at 55 they are too warm.

Use for 30-40 degree days of biking plus basic gloves in a non-athletic setting. The fingers feel like they could be slightly better insulated. I therefore use these on cold days but not below 30, at least not for long rides.

Keeps hands warm

I'm 54, 5'10 and ride mostly hard tail or gravel bikes in the winter. I tend to do mostly climbing where I wear just a thin, windproof glove as otherwise my hands get hot and sweaty. These gloves I throw in by bag or in my pocket for the downhill. Once at the top I grab my windbreaker and these gloves to keep my from getting chilled on the decent. They provide great wind protection and a good amount of warmth. Though, if I'm going anywhere near 30mph, my fingers can still get slightly cold, but not enough to impair my ability to break. I'm a huge fan of Castelli, especially the winter gear!

Bought these gloves for my pre dawn training rides which can be as cold as 29 degrees Fahrenheit. These are not as warm as I would have expected but are slightly more roomy than the Entrata Insulated gloves. With a fleece or merino liners I expect these to hit mark.
