I have not had this bag for long. so far i like it allot. i hung this a soma with cable brakes. i helicopter taped the frame for fear of paint damage. I go this mostly to be able to carry a rain jacket (it rains allot in the pacific north west). At the store i was able to put a jacket in the pack ( i have not ridden with in the bag).. I took two weekend rides with this so far. the first a 40 mile ride . I was able to carry all i needed in the bag with extra room. it was so nice to have a lunch by the river half way in the ride. the second ride was an early morning to afternoon ride. I was able to pack away a scarf and gilet and beany (with extra room) i was nice to be able to cycling in the morning with out being cold. THE DRAWBACK so far is the velco strap midway my leg will rub on when i stop at stop signs and such... i have a work around where i will put a rubber band or something to help lay it down more... SO FAR ALL IS GOOD! tail winds to ya

Absolutely loved this, even though I had to return it. It was too large for the frame on my bike. Will be re-ordering the next size down to improve access to water bottles and get a better fit.

Frame pack performed seamlessly. Zippers opened and closed without a hitch. Waterproof pouch was in fact

waterproof. I usually don't use a top tube pack but on this two week bike trip it was near perfect.

I say near perfect. What would have made it perfect was the next size up. During the trip I learned what a wonderful addition this pack made.

If you're looking for additional storage on the bike, consider this product. Additionally, this is a great vendor.

Very impressed with this bag. Replaced two smaller bags and a tool can that was occupying a bottle cage.

Pros:

-waterproofing has been flawless thru hours of rain, mud, and being rinsed with the hose.

-bright lining and interior zipped pocket

-holds tons of stuff

-small size fits a small (52cm) frame. Sounds weird to say, but I've tied a bunch of small bags and this is the first one that works.

-frame attachments are good

-zippers work, easy to open with gloves

Areas for improvement:

-would be nice to have some hook&loop straps sewn inside the bigger pocket to help organize tools & spares. Or some elastic loops for air & whatnot

-wish there were some other colorways

-smaller frames will have trouble clearing the water bottle on the downtube, but I'm my case, the 12oz bottle I have tucks up under the bag and acts like a cover to keep mud off the nozzle. I might try to reposition the bottle cage with a wolftooth components bottle relocation kit, but it's working ok as is.

I put my frame bag through a pretty big day in the woods and worked as well as it should and maybe even better. It fit perfectly in the frame and strapped on securely. I plan on using it on my future adventures.

Apidura makes a lot of nice stuff, I have their racing handlebar bag and love it! This frame bag has the same excellent quality of craftsmanship with just one serious design flaw! The zipper flap! The bag already has welded waterproof zippers, the flap is redundant! The issue is that the flaps tend to fold out, like the edge of a wing, and your inner thigh catches that edge on every pedal stroke! NOPE! Instant deal breaker!

I suppose that if you kept the bag tightly packed, and only fit it into a frame that is an inch or so longer than the bag it might stay pulled tight enough to keep the flaps tucked in. I used Apidura's frame bag sizing tool on their website and purchased exactly the size that was recommended for my bike. Maybe size down if you want to try it.

I did find a frame bag that worked well, so I don't think I'm being too picky. My knees do like to come close to the top tube as I ride and I can adjust a bit based on how stuffed my bag is, but catching the hard edge of the zipper cover flap on the Apidura every pedal stroke was far too irritating for me. Your mileage may vary!

Bought this for bike packing but its going to stay on the litespeed for good. i got the 4.5L and it fits my mid sized frame Appalachian perfectly. when not out packing it will hold every tool/pump/tube plus everything else i carry on my backside... but its NOT ON MY BACKSIDE! feels so nice not to have anything hanging off my body!

i ride every day, have commuted my entire life (hit 60 in June). this is a great piece of kit i wish i had "discovered" long ago!

The large fit my 59 cm Warbird perfectly, great amount of space for everything you need for a full day on the roadtrail. I have ridden with it in some strong rain and everything inside stays perfectly dry. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a great half frame bag.

I bought the large one for my Canyon Grizl 6 and it's a bit longer than the space available.

The Canyon branded Apidura bag fits better as it's shorter, but it's only a 4L bag.

There's a lot of room and it's more flexible so the fact that it's longer is not a problem for me.

Very happy so far with this bag. I have used it for bikepacking, as well as daily mountain biking trips. It is light, attaches well, and has a good fit to the frame. I like having pockets on both sides - the right for larger things and left for smaller like phone, etc. Zippers are solid and the added bonus is that it looks great in the dark grey and large yellow graphic.

Put this on my 2021 Jamis Renegade S1 Custom and fit perfectly. Went on a short gravel ride the other day just north of Boonville, IN and worked perfectly. Came home and gave my bike a bath and no water got inside the bag. One thing I could say is that the Velcro straps on the top are a bit stiff stick out a bit but I will come up with a way to fix that.

Got the 5.3L size for my Topstone XL, and it fits perfectly. Only used it on a few rides so far, but it has great build quality and lots of room for tools, water, snacks, clothing.

Absolutely love this bag. Fit is great on my gravel bike. Really impressed with the quality. I can see buying more Apidura bags in the future.

Fit perfectly on the bike. Well built and waterproof. Had to get a side entry cage on down tube to fit water bottle for easier access.

The Apidura frame back is large enough to hold a pump, repair kit, extra layer of clothing and cell phone/wallet (in separate secure compartment).

This bag has become one of my go-to bags. It is really well-made, stiff enough not to bulge out when full, waterproof, split compartments, zippers on both sides, and attaches with no sway. It fits the space on my gravel bike perfectly too (get the measurements from Apidura's web site). When out on a day ride, I can put my wallet, keys, covid mask and phone on the narrower side of the interior division. And I put an extra jacket, food, glasses, tire kit, etc. in the larger part.

Measured true and fits perfect. I commute to work every day and on the weekends I ride gravel trails all over SE Idaho. It's ideal for items you want close and I love that the zippers can be opened and closed while riding without getting all bunched up. Apidura did it right??

This bag has become a mainstay for my longer rides, not just for bikepacking. When the weather is changeable, and I might need to carry an extra pair of gloves or jacket, this bag is perfect to take everything along. It's split into two zippered sections, so I use one for clothing, and the other for phone, keys, etc. The Apidura site lists all the bikes and frame sizes around, so you can make sure it fits. Excellent bag.

I am touring cross country and during the day most of my load is packed away in panniers. I use the frame pack for easy access to tire repair supplies and also for snacks, sunglasses, small items I want during the day. I have a handlebar that allows for multi hand positions and a handlebar bag does not fit. The frame pack is a great alternative!
