The Cobra fists are the warmest bar end covers I own. They are harder to set up than most and a little harder to get your hands in and out of. I did not use the bar end plugs to hold them in place as that set up gives me a more narrow handle bar. I also found them very cumbersome when used on a bike with a front derailleur and a dropper post. I'll use them only for the very coldest rides.

Bike Tires Direct got these to me quickly and for an amazing price. Very satisfied and will order here again.

As far as the Pogies, they were easy to install and keep my hands warm in a wide range of weather (so far) near 0 - 30 degrees F. I've worn regular (non-insulated) long finger cycling gloves and that worked fine, but typically wear a light weight gore wind blocker glove just in case my hands end up outside the Pogies for some reason such as adjusting tire pressure.

If you are going to go out fat tire biking in the winter, I don't understand why you would go without these. With these and some insulated boots winter biking can be a joy.

One installation point, you need open ended grips. I used a utility knife to cut the ends off my cheapo grips that came with the bike.

I bought Cobrafists for my fat bike and Draugenklaws for my daughter's fat bike. We love them both and would not trade for anything different. They attach fast and work great. The bar end attachment method is fantastic. The Cobrafists are thicker and more substantial, have more features (like a drawstring to make the opening smaller for more warmth), and seal around cables better. Access with the Cobrafists is fine, but the Draugenklaws are shorter and even easier to get your hands into, and can be rolled down for even better access. I have 2 sets of Barmitts for my other bikes. They are warm despite being thin, but harder to get into, and I hate how they wrap around the grip to stay in place. 45Nrth's method with bar ends is much better. My newest set of Barmitts is falling apart and I do not recommend them. I plan on replacing them with Draugenklaws for my ebike (the shorter length will make seeing the power level easier). My suggestion is to get Cobrafists if maximum warmth and quality is needed, and Draugenklaws for a little less warmth but better access.

I installed these on a Jones H-Bar and had to cut down the long grips that come with the bar to half length so that I could move the shifter and brakes closer to the bar ends. With the change the Pogies fit pretty well. I rode in 0-40 F with gloves, thinner gloves when warmer, had no problems with cold hands, and my hands generally get cold easily. All around excellent product.

I've been using these for like 3 years and they're great. The foam donuts that seal the ends can be a pain - my son's pair are newer and have a sandpaper-y texture but mine are smooth so I spread a thin layer of silicone on them to prevent slipping.

These are expensive but keep your hands warm & dry. When it's hovering around freezing and wet you'll be glad you bought these.
