I'm using this as a flat bag. I actually have in mounted UNDER my top tube, and it works well. There is literally just enough room for a spare TPU tube, a few patches, a couple of tire irons, a multi-tool, and a couple of CO2 cartridges and inflator. I'm sure it would work well above the top tube for snacks, but that's not how I'm using it. The bag seems to be well made and a good value.
I got this to put empty gel wrappers in for a 12 hour event. Worked great. I kept some other small nutrition items in there too. It's sturdy and the zippers work easily. Don't expect to put a lot in it though.
Does what its meant for, it holds small items like a power bar, keys, chapstick and debit cards for light rides. Maybe a tube, lever and cylinder for a quick tire kit. Small and slender an iPhone wouldnt fit in there and be able to zipper it close, just FYI.
