Description
Teravail Ehline 29 Inch MTB Tire
Designed in response to modern XC trails, the Ehline is fast-rolling with uncompromised cornering performance - developed to provide more traction and durability than traditional XC tires for those who demand the most in a tire when riding increasingly aggressive, challenging terrain.
When extra puncture protection isn't necessary, our light and supple casing offers decreased weight and comfortable, ultra-supple ride quality at lower pressures when set up tubeless.

Reviews
Running 2.5 F and 2.3 R, light & supple. Rear stopped holding air after 2 months of light use (1-2 rides/wk). Just weaps through sidewall. Traction on the F is scary in the wet. For this much weight and drag I was expecting better traction. Not as light as a standard XC setup (Crossking/Raceking), more drag, and less grip. Not sure I can come up with a reason these would be a good choice.
Great tires. Love them in the hot powder and granular dry conditions we get here. They have had one puncture that I noticed and sealed fast. Great at low pressures and they hold up well. Good compounds and life on the treads.
I really want to like this tire. I ride in dry conditions and have been running these tires on an i29 carbon rim since May 2020. On trail, they're fairly grippy frontrear and they perform well when the PSI is on point for your conditions. The durability, however, is questionable - or has been for me. I've had weeping of sealant (Orange Seal Endurance) since mounting in May and it hasn't ceased. Also, the siping on the tires, particularly the center knobs is completely gone. They're marketed as being developed to provide more traction and durability... and I haven't seen that whatsoever.
I switched the front tire on a 29er hardtail to the Ehline from an old Schwalbe Racing Ralph 2.4 that has been discontinued. The 2.5 light and supple casing Ehline is definitely heavier and has a rounder profile than the Schwalbe. I found these tires to perform better on my favorite loop. The extra weight was noticeable but the combined low rolling resistance with the tread pattern allowed me to carry more speed on rooty hard pack. Not sure how they did it, but it was faster up climbs as well as in the turns. Its a great tire, will buy more Teravail based on this experience, including one for the rear when the Racing Ralph wears out. Cannot comment on wear or mud clearance as of yet.
