Reviews
Replaced stock centerline rotor that came with bike. Likely bettet heat management with this thicker rotor with aluminum spokes. Noticed more consistent braking on heavy DHs. Both rotors came slightly bent out of the box that required some rotor truing by me to get them some straighter. Pretty annoying to have to true brand new rotor. Think card board box likely the cause during shipment. Sram needs to improve the packaging I think to minimize this like Shimano and TRP does.
Used these on a recent bike packing build starting with a Salsa Cutthroat frameset, used with the newest SRAM Apex shifters/brakes on a drop bar, Mullet drive train. At 160 diameter front and rear, these rotors provide great stopping power even with a 200 pound rider and bike packing gear. Look good, perform well and the Bike Tires Direct price and fast shipping capped it off!
Upgraded the rotors and upsized to the 220mm and it makes all the difference with Sram Code Brakes. Definitely worth the price of admission. The thicker rotor changed the brake modulation and power in a good way! No need for Shigura mod with the uptick in rotor size and thicker rotor from my experience.
