AXS (wireless) FD systems are a breeze as compared to old school mechanical to set up in my opinion and almost brainless. The added plastic setup guide that snaps in the get appropriate height over your chainring teeth eliminated two things of the old days........one, it eliminates precise height while holding with one hand and tightening with another and two, it keeps the FD aligned perfectly every time with no numerous small adjustments! Kudos to SRAM for coming up with this added install feature! As to the FD itself and performance so far..............hasn't missed a beat!
I have the Sram Axs red front Derailleur on another one of my bike and for some reason this once "feels" like it shifts just a bit quicker and I have yet to drop a chain compared to my bike with the red FD.
Switched over from a D1. Super easy to install and pair using the SRAM app. Really like the glitter finish and subtle silver logo graphics. I would higher upgrade this for an upgrade as it�s our first time with electronic shifting.
